I did once. I regreted it so much and i was sorry to the same person later. Now, i try my best to control my emotions. What about you?

I have never sent one but I got plenty before I blocked emails. I have to admit I did consider it once when I saw a vile anti-Semitic rant but I just reported them. I am glad I didn't in a way and sorry I didn't stand up for myself in a way too. In the end, I probably would have regretted it if had done it.

When I first started coming here, I stupidly responded to a few of them. I have never once sent one other than that. I've been simply ignoring and deleting the ones I receive for about a year.

No. Just like Glitterkitty I don't send a mail written in anger but save it and come back to it later. It can be only 15mn later, but long enough to have recovered my calm. I usually shudder at what I wrote and rewrite everything.

I've never sent a hate mail. I don't get hate mail very often but I got one the other day that said
BURN IN HELL
that's all it said

When I'm angry, I compose the email then save it as a draft. Then I give it a day or two, re-read it and edit down. It's never a good idea to send an email when you're upset or angry. Calmer times will give you a more even keel.

I have responded to hate mail. I tried not to be as hateful as the person who sent it to me, but that's difficult.

No, but I've received hate mail. I was arguing with a fanatical Muslim bigot, and (along with about a thousand insults and stupid slurs) she sent me a death threat.
Heck, I was pretty proud of myself -- I guess I was just making too much sense...
