I think it is a good machine. I have had one for a while now the only downfall is there isnt alot of good games released yet and the machine gets really hot after you play it for a few hours. I would recomend that you not get one if you cant maximize its full potential. I mean that you will need a 1080 TV, wireless access to the internet so you can download the updates sony releases every so often and surf the internet. You will also need to have enough extra cash after you get the thing to buy another remote and upgrade to a HDMI cable because sony gives you a junk cable out of the box. Overall though I love it I use it to play games, music, movies, and internet. for me it is an all in one entertainment device and the PS3 is only going to get better.

The PS3 is the best gaming console out now. It has the most future potential unlike the 360 and Wii. I think that most of the PS3's exclusive titles are great also, because I own every single PS3 exclusive game except for Warhawk because it is a online only game.
To me, the price of the PS3 shouldn't be a big factor because you always get the best when you buy any product made by Sony. And soon the PS3 will be getting some awesome exclusive first party titles that I can't wait to buy especially Metal Gear Solid 4 and Uncharted Drakes Fortune. I believe that in a couple of years, the PS3 will reclaim it's position at the top of the video game world.

Totally awesome. There is going to be a price drop coming this Christmas. Which may bring it down to 400.
Plus Rumble is coming back.
plus HDMI and internet.
Also you don't need to buy too many extra accessories or pay extra fees.
Also you can install linux and get the entire SNES library that you can play. all for the low cost of nothing.

I think that it has so much potential and that it will be better than the xbox 360, but that's next year when there will be many more games out and when the price drops.
