Cup is already full, but it would be cool if they poured Mears out and signed Tony. That would be one heckuva stable huh?

no the Tony Stewert move to Hendrick is never going to happen and here is why. With the new rules package the teams may only have 4 cars per team (excluding the Rousch Fenway team until 2009) The option never came up and still wont because of what toyota has in store next season. Rick Hendrick may possibly have the best drivers with the best crew in NASCAR history. With Dale jr and Tony jr coming on board and with the supporting cast of the 4 time NASCAR nextel cup (Formally known as the winston cup) 3 time Daytona 500 winner and 79 carrer wins Jeff Gordon with crew cheif Steve Lattarte and then the 2006 Nextel cup champion and the 2006 Daytona 500 winner and the driver of the #48 Lowes Monte Carlo Chevy Jimmie Johnson and the crew cheif Chad Cannus and then the driver of the # 25 National Gaurd Monte Carlo Chevy 1 time NASCAR race winner (Lowes Motor Speedway Coca Cola 600) Casey Mears and the crew cheif Dairrean Grub. So the Tony Stewert rummor will never happen and the 20 car will be strong with the right drivers and the right engines the JGR team will be dominant in the 2008 Sprint( Leagal battles sprint won over Nextel) cup

No, I don't think he's going anywhere. Joe Gibbs and Tony Stewart are working out a renewal on Tony's contract. And he couldn't go to Hendricks because of the 4 car rule in NASCAR.

No, Tony Stewart is not going any where. He likes Gibbs and he is renewing his contact. Tony Stewart will do great in a Toyota. Just because it isn't Chevy , people are making such a big deal!!! And besides Toyota is the only car in NASCAR that is made in America , people of America do your research!!

Tony and Gibbs are sticking together. It will cost Gibbs because Tony is so marketable. Plus I think Tony has a lot of loyalty to Gibbs. Gibbs put up with a bunch of stuff in Tony's earlier years that others might not have.

Stewart is staying with Gibbs they are still working on contract renewals now, and Stewart has said that while the switch to Toyota will be hard the first year due to his personal endorsement contract with GM, and his own teams running GM cars, that he welcomes the switch. Stewart will stay with Gibbs until he retires, and he will add to his Titles before he makes his exit.

Not too many people think that Tony Stewart's afraid to drive a Toyota. It is still a state of the art NASCAR racing car. Professional race car drivers don't make business decisions based on their emotions. What you see from Tony Stewart is just his passion for the sport. As a true sportsman in motorsports (especially racing) If you can't seperate your passion from your emotion, you are'nt gonna win no matter what your driving.

That would be wild. I could see it happening. With who all the teammates would be it would be really wild. Plus Hendrick seems to like the partnership thing with his drivers. I could see that being a factor into a decision for when Tony retires he could still have a successful team without all the headache of being a single owner. Would be a good business opportunity for him.
Just not next year anyway

Actually Tony is all for it. If I am not mistaking Stewart and Hamlin are both getting contract extensions with Gibbs.

Hendricks already has 4 drivers.. Tony is concentrating on the chase. I doubt he will go anywhere..He will deal with the contracting part once the chase is over..

Hendricks already has 4 cars and 4 drivers. That is all NASCAR will allow them to run. I know Roush has 5 this year, but next year he will only run 4.
