He's a few years older than me, but he's in one of my classes at school. Although I've shared TONS of eyecontact with the cutie, I've never actually talked to him. He's kind of intimadating and I really want to talk to him. He sits at the back of the class room though, and I'm forced to sit up near the front.
How can I intiate conversation with him? What should I say? He's kind of shy, but he's a huge drug addict. I just want to talk to him at least once. HELP?!

Yeah I know being a drug addict isn't an attractive quality. I never said I wanted to date him, I just really want to get to know him.

There are many ways to chat to him?
Find out his msn/bebo/myspcae?
Get chatting on there.
Smile at him.
'Bump into him' after or before class :)
Ask teacher if you can move to the back

Okay... drug addiction should be your big red flag there. No matter how cute or sexy somebody can be, drug addiction leads to other negative things so stay away.
Say you do find a way to talk to him and you two seem to hit it off. Say you two get together. If he's not strong enough to be able to stay away from drugs... or even regulate the amount of drugs he takes to a limit where he knows when to stop and not be addicted, then he's not gonna be strong enough to stay faithful or honest to you, his attitude and character will change once you two get comfy with each other to where he doesn't feel that he has to put up a "shy and friendly" appearance. If you're stupid enough like him, then go ahead and get high with him till something worse happens.

This probably isn't the answer your looking for, but a drug addict? Think of what your getting into! I should know. There's this guy I know, and he's just like that, but is looking for things other than a relationship, and is a total player. Look for some of the great, funny, smart, but still cute guys around us that get ignored because girls are always chasing the drugee losers!

Why on earth would you want to talk to a drug addict? Because he is cute? Please take my advice and stay far far away! Think about what will happen if you start up with him....He talks to you, you talk to him, he does drugs, he gets you into drugs, he's miserable you become miserable...AND???? Having fun yet? I'm sure there are other guys that are cute and nice and kind....try someone else! Been there done that~!

Eye contact. Eye contact. Eye contact.
If you do this and you make eye contact with him, smile. That's all you need. If he responds with a smile back, good. Try to do this in class at some point. Hopefully he'll make a move. If not, try again in the next day or two. He'll get the message. That's when he knows that he's got to do something. If he's as confident and intimidating as you say he is, he should use that confidence and say hi.

i think one day before or after class, you should just go up to him and say hi and your name...initiating the conversation will show him that you're a strong girl and not intimidated by him...be nice and friendly, but not too straight forward..you don't want to scare him off....the huge drug addict part is very sketchy, so just be careful!

If you are in the same class together, ask for help from him (even though you might not need it). Or you can catch up with after class and start ragging on the teacher and if speaks up, that means he's interested if not, then that means he's not and you should move on to bigger and better.

Take it from my experience and save yourself a lot of grief: Do not become involved with a huge drug addict! You cannot help him and he will only bring you down.

Find someone else you like, but who isn't a drug addict...
Drug addicts come out with real difficult problems, just wait he'll get them soon ;)
And when he does, you don't want to be his partner. Trust me.

just start by saying "what's up?" then the next day or so say hey i'm so and so and then if he talks back or seems interested then you know he likes you. but drug addict?? can't you do better??
