Psalm 16:5-11
5 LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup;
you have made my lot secure.

6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.

7 I will praise the LORD, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.

8 I have set the LORD always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.

9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,

10 because you will not abandon me to the grave, [a]
nor will you let your Holy One [b] see decay.

11 You have made [c] known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Wonderful scripture, and awesome encourgement to those who love the Lord!

My mom was a Jewish WWII holocaust orphan. Nazis killed my grandparents, and tens of millions of Europe's Jews.

At that time Isreal was occupied by Palestinian Muslims, and my mother's people felt homeless and endangered.

Also, Israel is part of many "New Testimant" Christian prophecies, which couldn't come true without Isreal's existance.

This may explain my selected "poem". I've saved it for a long while thinkiing I would share it sme day.

This one is a really good, and encouraging poem...

"Israel"

My mother said to me
there will never be peace there
My father said to me
America is the best country in the world
and then I left America for Israel

My friend said to me
I hate it here in the summer
the landscape looks harsh
everything stinks

My friend’s words confirmed for me
my feeling, gloating
I love Israel more than she

What does the hellish weather mean to me
What does the terror and wars mean to me
Nothing, nothing that can move me from my beloved

My friend said to me
I love the Land of Israel
My boyfriend said to me
I love the State of Israel

What does state or land mean to me
She is my beloved
She is my Israel
Just as mother cannot explain her love for her child
Just as man cannot explain his love for his woman
I cannot explain my love for Israel

Whether or not G-d exists
Whether or not G-d gave this land to us
We, the Jewish people do exist
and we can sing the Song of Songs
and our song is our love for Israel

Patriotism, nationalism are weak words
What does politics mean to me
Nothing, nothing I am a flying Jew
Flying in Chagall’s painting over Jerusalem
Whether or not she is heavenly Jerusalem
Whether or not she is earthly Jerusalem
Whether or not she is Naomi Shemer’s Jerusalem of Gold
It matters not to me
She is my beloved Israel and I am flying over her soul

I hear the religious and the secular disparage and denigrate one another
I hear the Ashkenazim and the Sephardim disparage and denigrate one another
I hear the immigrants and the sabras disparage and denigrate one another
These are our three fault lines, rifts
finding fault until the earthquake
What does their lashon hara mean, matter to me
I want to cry to all my people (myself included)
Just as our G-d is one, we are one
They are my beloved, Israel

Another land has the most beautiful nature
Another land has the most polite people
Another land has the most tranquil atmosphere
What does that matter to me
I love Israel more
She is my beloved

Hear O Israel:

The land is ours
The land belongs to us
The land of Israel
The house of Israel are one
and are won, forever, inseparable
And now the world knows this is true

Here is my modest contribution:

I will fly high with you my dear friend
over all bright hilltops and mountains
and above all green dales and blue seas

with you I will bravely overfly
all the known horizons and borders
and those imagined and those unimaginable

with you with warm impulse and good sense
fiercely on the hard life struggle for survival
against all subduing and surrendering

on the proud pilgrim's path to perfection
on the blazing flowerful springtime path
of ever dazzling virtuosity and virtuality

of ever daring exciting adventures in the Sun
ever ever proudly rising and ever converging
on the glowing scented path to bright Infinity

Good luck!

DIRECTIONS TO OUR FATHERS HOUSE
Make a Right onto Believeth Blvd.
Keep Straight and go through the Green Light, which is Jesus Christ.
There you must turn onto the Bridge of Faith, which is over Troubled Waters.
When you get off the bridge, make a Right Turn and Keep Straight.You are on the King's Highway-Heaven-Bound. Keep going for three miles; One for The Father, One for The Son, and One for The Holy Ghost.
Then exit off onto Grace Blvd.
From there, make a Right turn on Gospel Lane.
Keep Straight and then make another Right on Prayer Road.
As you go your way, Yield Not to the Traffic on Temptation Ave. Also, avoid Sin Street because it's a Dead End.
Pass up Envy Drive and Hate Ave. Also pass Hypocrisy St, Gossiping Lane, and Backbiting Blvd.
However, you have to go down Long-Suffering Lane, Persecution Blvd.,and Trials and Tribulations Ave.
But that's all right, because Victory Street is, Author Unknown

The world is in chaos,
you wonder what’s going on.
How can you fix this?
You want it to stop…but it won’t.

You life is out of order,
you notice everything is slipping.
All the things you loved, cared for,
they’re all going away.

When you do lose everything,
just remember to look at the sun rising.
You just may be able to stop this,
with your new found hope.

When the world is in chaos,
when you lose everything you love,
just remember, it will all be helped…
when the sun rises.

Wrote it myself, i know it's not that good, though. Hope you like it anyway

I will try:

Let not your heart be troubled,
For this too shall pass.
Remember that you come from God,
He has never made you last.
Yet in His eyes you are always first,
And there's no others in your line.
Let the sadness leave your heart and head.
For you are on God's mind!

Mine eyes have seen the glory
Of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage
Where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning
Of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.

Chorus
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

I have seen Him in the watchfires
Of a hundred circling camps
They have builded Him an altar
In the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence
By the dim and flaring lamps;
His day is marching on.

I have read a fiery gospel writ
In burnished rows of steel:
"As ye deal with My condemners,
So with you My grace shall deal":
Let the Hero born of woman
Crush the serpent with His heel,
Since God is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet
That shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men
Before His judgment seat;
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him;
Be jubilant, my feet;
Our God is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies
Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom
That transfigures you and me;
As He died to make men holy,
Let us die to make men free;
While God is marching on.

Psm.91
[1] He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
[2] I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
[3] Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
[4] He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
[5] Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
[6] Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
[7] A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
[8] Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
[9] Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
[10] There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
[11] For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
[12] They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
[13] Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
[14] Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
[15] He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
[16] With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
