Fellow Christians, do u think that Neo-Nazis should be able to hav freedom of speech, including being able to wear the swastika, and to assemble peaceably? At first I think no way but then I ask myself "How would I feel if I couldn't wear a cross and assemble peaceably?" Wut do u think?

I'm not mocking. I'm 1 of u guys... and gals

They have rights just like we do.

Freedom of speech (or religion or assembly or the press) doesn't just apply to the speech I personally agree with. About the NeoNazis and NeoConservatives, etc, my motto is: Everybody has the right to express his opinion, no matter how incredibly stupid.

Now the court system makes a distinction between freedom of speech and hate-speech or speech that endangers people.

You can't holler "Fire!" in a crowded concert just to see how many people get trampled. John Stuart Mill wrote a lot about this. Check out "On Liberty" if you're interested in this kind of stuff.

I have a lot of problems with this question:

How does one person "assemble peacefully?"
Would this be like a guy walks up in various separate pieces and then stands there quietly as the pieces start to fit together, and after a while they are all assembled and the guy walks away?
How do you wear a cross? Aren't they kinda big? I know you couldn't crucify anyone effectively on a little portable cross.
Neo Nazis have freedom of speech? Why would we want to let these guys have this? I guess we sort of know we have to so we make it really hard for them in every other way.
Also, how could the asker be one of u guys and gals? Does this mean he is, a.... you-know?
I say this, if taking away the Neo Nazi's freedom of speech came at the cost of Christians losing their freedom of Speech too, I'd be willing to pay that price :)

As long as the assembly is done PEACEABLY, and the assemblers do not PROVOKE VIOLENCE to then paint themselves as members of "persecuted" group then anyone has the freedoms you mentioned. And I will support that person's right to assemble even if I do NOT agree with their views (which I do not in the cases of BOTH Neo-Nazis and Extremist Fundamentalist Christians...)

I'm not Christian, but do support Christian rights to assemble. I just insist on the same rights for myself.....

Well...in America there is the first amendment...and they do have the freedom of speech, and are able to wear the swastika, and are able to assemble. However, they might want to be careful, as there are those certain citizens who will exercise their second amendment rights who will come to possibly do bodily harm to them.
And for the record - as hated as Hitler is (and should be) - keep in mind that he was a devout Christian and a teetotaler...scary, huh?

Freedom of speech is integral to our countries vitality and should never be compromised. Will we have to put up with the extremists? Sure. But, I'll never forget a story about a US serviceman serving as a POW in Vietnam. He was shown a picture of demonstraters in the USA burning a US flag. He said it showed his country doesn't support the war or his being there. The serviceman replied "you are wrong, that pictures shows a country where any man can express his beliefs even if it goes against his own country. Without fear of reprisal, imprisonment, or execution. In my country this is the freedom we fight to protect, it your country that chooses to squash the liberty of it's inhabitants."

I do not believe in absolute freedom of speech. I believe in the truth, be it spiritual, factual, or opinion. But, people should not be able to espouse ideas in a public forum advocating hate, intolerance, crime, or violence against others. People are completely free to think any way they want. They can believe whatever they want. But what they express and convey should be and rightfully is limited somewhat.

Now this is not to say people shouldn't be able to wear KKK robes or Nazi SS death's heads uniforms; if people want to put on a certain look or costume, more power to them.

Everyone should have freedom of speech, including Nazis. But they do deserve scrutiny as do any other extremists, including some fundamentalists, because inciting people to commit violent acts is against the law.

Quote from the questions further information: There're greater yet I wont proceed, I wager Christians are going to assert "oh, he's no longer a real Christian! no longer basically like the "stable" christians" Are you somewhat attempting to equate a guy actually responsible for tens of millions and tens of millions of murders and untold misery with a non violent church attendee residing a quiet existence? of course he's no longer a real Christian, he's no longer even a stable person by employing any customary of any ideology, in spite of if that be atheist or Christian. perhaps you will desire to have positioned some costs from Hitler on your question with regard to the suitable answer, as an occasion: “The holocaust is the answer to the Jews very final question” you're no longer doubt conscious that the suitable answer replaced into prompted by employing a perverted interpretation of Darwin’s organic determination, or because of the fact the Nazi's interpreted it: Survival Of The Fittest? as a results of this concept in eugenics, Hitler and the Nazi’s have been responsible for countless atrocities; can the comparable be stated as a results of his tenuous links to the Christian faith? Categorically: no. in addition to, the assumption of evolution (organic determination) has nicely and rather been hijacked by employing atheists as evidence of absence of a writer (a very incorrect argument i might upload), so are we to take from Hitler’s adoption of eugenics that he replaced into an atheist and choose all atheists for this reason? Stalin replaced into an atheist; does that advise i will choose all atheists in accordance with him? to no longer point out Pol Pot and Chairman Mao. in case you will use this manner of illogical argument against Christians, don’t be shocked if it’s became back against you. One final element: Hitler waged conflict against international places that have been easily Christian and did no longer accept as true with Hitler’s very final answer and somewhat some, a lot of people from those international places died so as that the evil that replaced into Nazism replaced into destroyed. Does that no longer inform you some thing approximately Hitler’s alleged Christian links?
