My favorite recipe, I actually make it as a meal sometimes but it also makes a great appetizer:
Cut up some already cooked chicken into small pieces, mix it with lots of monterey jack cheese, a little bit of sour cream, and some chopped up spinach. Personally I don't care for much sour cream so I just use enough to coat the ingredients, it makes the mixture creamier when cooked. You can try other ingredients along with or in place of the spinach, such as celery... I'm thinking some walnuts might be good (I think I'll try that next time I make it actually.)

Take the mixture and spoon some on top of each crescent roll then fold them up. Bake for about the same time and at the same temperature as what the crescent roll package says, basically until they look golden brown and cooked.

Tuna Spinach Braid
-1 pkg (10-ounce) frozen chopped spinach, defrosted and well drained (squeeze the moisture out of it)
-1 can (6 ounce) tuna, well drained and flaked (with fork)
-1 cup cream-style cottage cheese, well drained
-1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1/4 tsp garlic powder)
-1 tube (8-ounce) refrigerated crescent rolls
-3 slices (or 3 ounces) mozzarella cheese or provolone cheese (your preference)
-1 egg, beaten
-1 tablespoon water
------------------------------
1. In a mixing bowl, combine spinach, tuna, cottage cheese, Parmesan and garlic. Set aside.
2. Unroll crescent roll dough onto a 15-in x10-in x1-in baking sheet - do not separate dough (should be one whole sheet of dough).
3. Press to seal the dough seams and perforations.
4. Spread filling down center of dough lengthwise in about a 3-1/2 in wide strip.
5. Top filling with sliced cheese.
6. Make cuts - cooking shears work well and you avoid the problem of cutting the pan - in the dough at about 1-inch intervals on both long sides of rectangle almost to edge of filling.
7. Fold dough strips diagonally over filling, overlapping strips and alternating from side to side. *don't worry if it looks messy...it's the flavor that counts!
8. Combine egg with water and brush over entire top.
9. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
10. Cut into slices and serve warm.

You can wrap the dough around Zucchini or small pieces of cheese (or both) and cook according to the instructions on the roll. Yummy.

brush with butter and garlic, and serve with ragu snack sauce, or they have alfredo sauce as well.
