Sadly Portugal was a fascist dictatorship until quite recently. The police have found the change difficult. In the old days, their death squads threw the bodies over the Spanish border. Now they are expected to behave.

Now, in the UK, we never did nothing. Remember the death squads? Remember throwing people out of helicopters? The innocent people killed by mistake? the 'B' specials? Bloody Sunday?
Amnesty reported all that too. And our country is the United Kingdom of Great Britain AND NORTHERN IRELAND.

Criticism of Amnesty is totally unjust. Why shoot the messenger? Their report is from 2001.

I am surprised at this as I emailed Amnesty international about corruption and violence in this country, they emailed me back saying that they only intervened in countries which held political prisoners and unlawful executions.
My thoughts on them now is that they are a money making machine where the donations mostly go to the top employees. After hearing this I think they are a load of crap.

It is funny that according to this group there is no corruption, graft, torture, murders carried out by the British or American police but in every other country the police are corrupt and viscious.

It seems odd that a smear campaign has suddenly started against the Portuguese Police, why did Amnesty International not come up with this before?. I wonder how big a donation they received???.

Very convenient out-dated crap....... Is there no end to the McCann cover up! People in this country are beaten and framed by dodgy coppers, it's all covered up, the world over is the same.. It's just most decent people don't support suspected murderers! I am repulsed by the McCann support and hope people know exactly what they are doing.........
