Or does becoming Christian mean you no longer sin anymore?

If your answer is "Yes" you continue to sin, you even make really BAD mistakes or decisions that adversely affect other people, but now you have the ability to ask for forgiveness because of Christ's sacrifice and still get into heaven, how does that measure up against those like (tribal peoples of long ago and today) who will be judged soley on their actions and 'law of their hearts' because they never heard of Christ before.

How come Christ's death didn't give them that same leeway you enjoy to make mistakes and still get a pass into heaven?

Aren't they being held to a higher standard than you are?

Yes, Christians all sin.

Being Christian doesn't mean you never sin any more. It just means you follow Jesus's teaching and try to love God and your neighbor.

Nobody succeeds 100% of the time, even though some fundamentalists I've met try to tell me they do. They're just deceiving themselves.

Jesus's death gave everybody the chance to be forgiven, even bushmen in deepest, darkest Antarctica (yes, that is a joke), who have never heard of Jesus.

If they lived a loving life as their hearts directed them, of course they are in heaven, and our standards for Jesus's love are all the same.

So to answer your first question... Yes Christians still sin. We still mess up and fall back on our old ways. Yes we get to ask for forgiveness and restore the relationship with God.

The you asked...How come Christ's death didn't give [tribal people] that same leeway you enjoy to make mistakes and still get a pass into heaven?

Well he did, but his relationship was different befor the death and resurrection of Christ. Consider David of the Bible. He committed adultery, had men killed to cover up that sin, and even had the husband murdered, yet God still called him "a man after His own heart." David also understood that sin messed up his relationship with God. Moses led the people through the desert, but one mistake of disobeying God cost him the chance to see the "Promised Land." Moses was later seen in the NT when he was transfigured and spoke with Jesus (Elijah was also there, Mark 9).

Deeds did not discredit the faith that these early "Christians" had. They were all "saved" like Christians of today: through faith (Hebrews 11).

Becoming a Christian (accepting Jesus as your Savior) means that you escape the 'wages of sin' which is death. Its about Christ dying on the Cross for your sin,..past, present and future...so that the believer doesnt have to go to Hell.

It is impossible to be completely holy...but the believer is exhorted to live holy, acceptable unto God which is our reasonable service. If God thought it was "reasonable"..then it is possible to live holy-but only when you walk in the Spirit. It is a higher standard of living actually, not leeway to make mistakes because you cant claim..'uhhh I didnt know that was wrong!' like the tribal person you mentioned. Thats why people dont WANT to be Christians....they dont want to be held to any standard, let alone a high one.

I still sin. To say I didn't would be rediculous. I am a flawed human being saved by God's grace. It's just that I recognize it now that I am a christian and am aware of it and repent. Before, I would just sin and blow it off. I have changed my ways and have a lot less sin in my life now. I don't think god will damn anyone who hasn't heard of Jesus or God. They haven't had the chance to make that decision. That is a topic of debate, I know. The people who know of Christ but refuse to accept have some explaining to do, however.

Becoming christian doesn't mean you become sinless but SIN-LESS. Everyone is given the same right to accept Christ and received forgiveness provided he/she willing to confess and repent from their sins. I don't really agree with the word leeway to make mistake. The fact that we sin and make mistake is "WE ARE BY NATURE SINNERS, THAT'S WHY WE SINNED. NOT BECAUSE WE SINNED THAT MAKE US A SINNER" People tend to measure and judge others through law and good deed THOUGH IT IS RELATIVELY IMPORTANT and It is also common to do so as it's the standard guideline of moral discipline. But good action through law can't atone the sins of mankind but through Christ death, we received salvation and escape eternal condemnation from hell. It is by His grace and mercy not by might. Ephesian 2:8-9

I am not a Christian per se, but the answer is yes. Christians are forgiven for all sins past, present and future.

As far as all the other stuff: I know that St Paul says that Abraham was credited with righteousness because of his faith in God. In other words, he wasn't a Christian but got into heaven because he believed in God (Yahweh).

The other people are screwed.

People like me that have heard and do not believe are doubly screwed.

Keep chanting.

Yes we sin, we all do, and yes we are covered by the blood of Christ. As to the tribal people, I am not sure what you believe, or have been told, or just want to guess at, but I can tell you this, No one, NO ONE< will enter the gates of hell innocently. Our, Lord and God will give everyone every chance to know the truth. No one will enter hell, who has not had a chance to know God and His Son Jesus. Can I explain this? no, But I can explain that God is just, perfectly just. No one will every say, I am here by false accusation.

I dont believe people who have never heard about Jesus will be held accountable, no. You can't be held accountable for what you don't know. Yes Christians still sin and I believe on judgement day I will see those of sins of mine and feel heartbroken for them but they wont keep me out of heaven because Jesus will forgive me right then. The horror will be facing them.

Silly girl. God is fair in all things. God will see to it that sooner or later everybody will have enough knowledge and info to make an informed decision. And then the time will come to make that decision. Alas , some people figure they are already dead (but nothing could be farther from the truth) so they try to destroy Christianity with reckless abandon. So sad.
