There'd be national healthcare in the US.

But I guess building and maintaining bigger churches is more important than ensuring everyone has equal access to a long healthy life.

What would happen if all people put an additional 10% of their income into their own health care?

P.S. Christians are not responsible for the health care of the country or the world. We are here to share the (Good News of Christ) Gospel. What you said assumes that Christians aren't to be responsible in other areas of their lives, and also puts the tax burden of the nation upon Christians in order to support some socialist system that fails in every nation it's been implemented....both of which are wrong.

First off I think you underestimate how many Christians tithe in the first place and how many hand over a full 10%
Second of all it isn't in the Bible to give to a healthcare fund and I will trust my money to God before I trust it to the state I live in- NY
Third of all I think you should look at what churches do for people- my church gives out somewhere around $10,000 a year to people who need money for various problems- people that don't attend the church. We give out school supplies, hair cuts, meals, clothing, et cetera. I think that some people just have such a hard time accepting the fact that churches do good things that they don't see them. Besides that- I think that the healthcare system needs to be revamped before anyone gives anything to it.

Most Christians do not give 10%. I believe this number to be much smaller. To answer your question: If they decide to give elsewhere would probably mean they are no longer going to church.
Besides, universal healthcare is overrated. I will always take care of my family, so do my neighbors. If taking care of your family is important then you do whatever it takes.
I would never expect my neighbor to take care of my family. That would be selfish to expect some else to pay my way.

To be honest I rather give my money to people who really need it, donate to the Humane Society than funding a pastors Cadillac!
Churches now-a-days are over-rated and materialistic. I rarely hear churches giving back to the community. Even their childcare centers and schools tuition cost about the same if not more.
Take a look overseas where churches sponsor daycare at minimum cost and top notch schools at no cost to the students.
If you would give your money to healthcare instead of a church it's still considered a good deed. My opinion.

A lot of people would go to the doctor when they don't need to and use it all up, then there would be no money to spread the good news (the gospel of Jesus Christ) and feed the hungry and clothe the needy like God said to do. He didn't say to establish a health care program! I think hospitals that run up gigantic bills when it is not necessary ought to be held accountable for that.

Christians can give to whatever foundation that is in need. The process of tithing 10% is to obey God's commandments and give to the needy areas of our community. Whether it is all to the church or some to a health agency and some to church or split amongst the homeless shelters, church and healthcare.

You can give and expect it to come back to you in other ways if you give with an open heart. But don't sit waiting for it to come back, it will happen when you need it most and least expect it...

Good question, but they aren't called to give to healthcare. Likely you would end up with many more people abusing the healthcare system and money being flushed away.

That would be enough money to give free medical education to a couple thousand more Pakistani and Indian doctors. In addition to the thousands of Indians that are already getting free graduate degrees in America at taxpayers' expense.

Insurance companies and Doctors would have more money.

Do people have a RIGHT to health care? Must we admit then that people who "came before" had their rights violated by time itself? For that matter, do we really have access to healthcare? Are we not, in trying to cure ourselves, screaming at the void, since we are mortal and will die?

I dunno, but I would rather have control of my money in any event. It is mine, I earned it and since I cannot stop death in total, what difference does it make if people die by extension of my controling the allocation of my money!
