nope, I take no offense. Its nice to have some constants in a world so full if variables. The truth of the Gospel is the greatest comfort to get us from birth to death.

what I find interesting is how of the 3 statements, it is #2 that gets the most debate.

What if we were to use the definition and not the label.

What if we were to say 2 - All have "failed to achieve perfection in all they do"

(never told a lie, hated, got angry, stole, get jealous, be envious and the list goes on.)

would be hard pressed to believe anyone who claims he or she was exempt from #2.

Can't understand why folks would hate a supernatural being for stating He doesn't like any of the bad. what, we're supposed to jump up and down and get giddy if God were suddenly going to say "I like pain, suffering, grief and misery. In fact, I like it when folks lie, cheat and steal. so much so, that the more grief you cause to My children, the better you are in My eyes.

Get for real.

I'm starting to learn that some folks hate God because He won't tolerate the parts of their lives they enjoy.

If by "sin" you mean the Christian definition in the strictest sense, then the only people who have not sinned are those who were conceived using artificial insemination, because they are without "original sin" because their conception required no sex. But I bet they'd sin pretty quickly during life. So yeah. Number two is most likely true, but not "absolute truth."

Why would it offend me to acknowledge that yeah, everyone's gonna die and yeah, I could be dead tomorrow?

I see it quite differently. 1) the spiritual death rate is 0% 2) All are forgiven 3) we are guaranteed eternal life.

Just because some things are evident doesn't give one the ability to know and or proclaim everything that they say is absolute truth. I call this: Arrogance and that is offensive.

No, but people who have such a hard time with absolute truth frustrate me at times (though they shouldn't). Sorry that's not very nice, but it's sincere.

I'm with you on your question though.

Many blessings.

2 is not "absolute truth"
and when it's faithed based, it's the presumption of absolute truth that offends me.

Blessed be.

1. that is true
2. Nope, sorry.. that is the opinion of monotheistic believers and is not proveable.
3. I may or may not be.. define tomorrow. Your today could be my tomorrow.

#2 isn't absolute truth. "Sin" is a religious concept. If you changed it to "All have done something wrong", then OK.

That doesn't offend me for you to *say.*
#2 is not true though...there is no such thing as sin.

Here is an absolute truth:
There is no god, no deity, no jesus. Does that offend you?
