You should always wear what you think you should wear. But the clothing/jewelry does not make you a witch. Your connection with the divine is.

I don't have any witchy clothes (other than a few t-shirts with pentacles and some quotes/sayings on them - which I do wear in public). I have never hidden any jewelry I wear... That seems rather silly, to me... why wear it if you're only going to hide it? And why buy it if you're never going to wear it in public? *with the exception of certain ritual clothing, which I do understand only wearing in private*

My religion doesn't come with a fashion style. I don't wear ritual articles in public because they are ritual articles. I do wear a small pentagram ring in public. That is the only outward show of my faith...and most people don't notice it. If you ever see me wearing something you'd call "witchy" (perhaps you're looking for "goth"?) you can be sure its because I just happen to like that particular outfit, not because it's "witchy" or somehow communicates my religion.

"Witchy clothes/jewelry"????

What on this good green Earth are those? I do hope you're not talking about the "look at me, I'm soo cool and witchy" all-black goth, or wearing silly diaphanous dresses with floaty sleeves or the "I can barely walk under the weight of all my crystals" thing or anything like that.

I wear clothes appropriate to the weather (if outside) and the occasion (inside or out).

I wear my pent most of the time - right now it's off because I need to polish it and the chain it is on - all the sweating I did this summer tuned the silver black.

Witchy clothes?? What in the name of all the Gods and Goddesses is that? I wear my pentacle all the time but because I work with machinery it is usually tucked under my shirt. And during rituals I usually wear a black tee shirt and a pair of black jeans (100% cotton for both). I only wear a costume to be something I am not, like for a party.

If you are refering to fluff bunnies that dress all in goth, then no. I have never worn that and don't intend to either.

Blessed Be )O(

I wear a Pentacle (actually a Pentalpha pendant) all of the time, but considering the number of Christians and Jews who wear religious jewelry in public, that is really not odd. But if you didn't know I was a Hellenic Polytheist and only saw me at a distance, you couldn't tell the differance between me and a Christian or Jew just by my clothes.....

I don't really dress all that "witchy" but I do continue to wear my jewelry wherever I go.

They may not burn us at the stake anymore, but I sure as heck can't wear my Pagan jewelry to my kids' schools, or here at work.

There is just too much ignorance in the world.

If you like constantly causing drama and controversy, then go for it. However, there is a certain ancient aspect to keeping your beliefs "underground", sort of paying tribute to all those who died because of what they believed.

Talk about hypocricy- I actually have to "pretend" to be christian infront of my clients, and even have mail sent here from a local church to make it look like I am catholic. Sad, really. I really don't care- I am more educated than 99% of the christians I know, who are just robots, "going to church" just to look good.

The only time I have worn my ritual robe in public was at the release party for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

Ritual Robe - Private only
Jewelry - both, since I'm out of the broomcloset with my immediate family.
