It seems that you only have to write a book or get some air-time these days to seem competent and appear wise and knowledgeable, the truth is that many so called experts are nothing more than fame seekers and this lady is certainly in this bracket.
God is spirit and as such has no gender but Jesus taught us to call God our Father so we have to say that God chooses to relate to us as a good Father and all this new age rubbish of Earth Mother and God as Mother is simply paganistic talk.
Hell is real it is the place that God created for the fallen Angels and He does not want any of us His children to go there, but it is really our choice, Hell is not on Earth although it can seem like it sometimes, when there is an absence of love for whatever reason then we do get a taste of Hell but Hell is probably situated within the Earth and most likely another space dimension.
Possessions are very rare indeed but they can and do happen when we leave God`s protection and dabble in the occult.
The best thing to do is to read the Bible with a competent spiritual director, it prevents us from taking in other peoples daft ideas such as Sylvia Browne`s.

Sylvia Browne listens to her "voices". Pity.

As for "mother god" and "father god", that IS a valid point. He DID create us in His image, MALE and FEMALE. It therefore follows that God has both the feminine and the masculine principles as part of His Being.

There has to be someplace for those who totally refuse God to go. And that has to be a place where God most isn't. And traditionally we call that place "hell".

And this Christian has NEVER said that anyone is definitely going to hell.

Hell cannot be on earth because hell is in eternity (not being a material location, but rather a spiritual destination) and earth is very definitely in time.

Possession is an extremely rare phenomenon. So rare is true possession that only a very few priests are even taught the exorcism rituals any more. Hollywood and the Fundies notwithstanding, true possessions have only ever been of UNbaptized individuals. All other so-called possessions turned out to be either brain chemistry problems or genetic dysfunction of the brain or due to brain injury, tumor or disease. And that's the medical profession talking, not the Church.

I'm as spiritual as any other person (yes, I do psychic readings and all that), but yeah. I'm not a fan of Sylvia. She's just talking about the male and female aspect of God. Christians would call her Mary. She's talking about how on the other side, there's just love. There's no pain, no suffering, etc. Here there is.
This is where Sylvia gets contradictory. "No spirit can hurt you, blah blah.....oh, that spirit is attacking you. Light a white candle...etc etc." Yeah. I'm really not a fan. lol As far as demons and possessions go, there are energies out there that can feed and attack people. They're like leeches. It's difficult to come by a "real" possession. The thing is that energy follows thought. Have you heard the term facing your inner demons? That's kind of what it is. Sometimes we surround ourselves with so much negative energy that all we're creating negative energy. Some believe that that's how demons form. It's just forms of hate and fear and everything we don't like. I hope that makes sense. If you're still confused, drop me a line. I don't bite. :)

Sylvia Browne? If you want to know about God and the Truth, a perfect source to use is God's Word the Bible. Demons do exists. You'll find it in the bible that they do exist. The angels that were cast out of Heaven are demons. You don't have to be a christian to read the Bible, if you read the bible you'll get some answers. No one can judge what happens to you, only God knows your Heart, so find your way but look for better sources like the Bible for instance. I hope you find the guidance you need. If you need someone to talk to however about the Bible, I will be more than Happy to share with you what I've learned. Just email me. In the meantime, I wish you the best of luck.

You could look at it like this----an all-powerful, omniscient God is mother AND father to all His children. Hell is on earth, that's why we strive for a better place when we die. "Possession" is just a manifestation of that hell.

If you can find Charles Stanley on tv I would listen to him. He's pretty good. The KJV Bible will tell you if someone is telling the truth or not.

You can check www.intouch.org

Another great preacher, better than Charles Stanley is John Rice. You can find him on the internet.

I explain so-called possessions by saying that they are socially or religously motivated psychotic phenomenon, not demonic influences.
