Yes, and why all the uproar? This questions should be answered like any other question! When using any drug the metabolic rate slows down when there is more than one item in the stomach. There are extended release version of Adderall called Adderall XR and also Dexedrine called Dexidrine spansules. If you feel that your medication is not working well enough, then you should address it with your doctor. Also, there is no supplement that will help them last longer as well as whether or not there's food in your stomach. Food in the stomach MAY slow down the metabolism, but WILL NOT make them last any less amount of time than normal. Hope this answers your question.

If you are taking them as a prescription then your doctor has given you the dose you need. Talk to him/her if its not working well.
