No way is it too old. I'm 45, single, have two grown children, and I plan on adopting a little one this next year.

It is totally up to HIM. If he really wants to have another child then I see no reason (at least from what little I know) that he should not have another child. My husband is 38 and we are considering having another child in the next 2 years. There are men becoming fathers that are much older than 40-so I see no reason that age should be a factor. There are other non age related issues to be addressed when considering having a child-but you only asked about him becoming a father at the age of 40. Best of luck!

No, i think 40 is a fine age to become a father again. My kids are all over 40 now and only 1 is a father. The others wanted to wait and probably will become fathers when their wives say OK .

No. I have a friend who married a man 11 years ago when she was 25 and he was 55. They now have 2 healthy kids ages 10 and 6. He has had some health issues in the last 5 years, but if a man wants to have children later in life, he usually can.

Well yes and no
My dad was 44 when he had me. He was/is a great dad and wonderful provider. However i am in my 20's now and i have the very real fear that my dad won't make it till i am 30. Yes he could of had me at 21 and drop dead when i was ten but he is very much up their in age. He is as old as many of my friends grand parents. I worry about him and i feel cheated. Even if he lives to be like 80 he will probbally die long before my friends parents do. Or get sick and i will have to be in my prime taking care of my parents. I choose to have my daughter now because my parents were so old when they had me. Forgoing any health problems or accidents when i am 80 my daughter will be in her 50's and retired or almost reitred and her family will be grown. Not in her early 30's only a few years out of college with small kids and a die dad.

No problem! 40 isn't old! He has experience, is a great father ... the older siblings will deal with the excess energy of a new addition if the father is feeling too tired, but at 40? Come one! 40 is young!
Have that baby!

After the reversal that pretty a lot continuously skill IVF is needed. the price of the reversal is over $10grand in spite of everything the labs, and keep on with-ups. The IVF will value about $17Grand. The time period is about 3 years. it is assuming it does no longer take 10 years to save up the money when we evaluate his present day criminal complications. So enable us assume you turns into pregnant even as he's 40 3. i'm 40 3. i might want to never evaluate any such element. he will be 60 and nevertheless have a teen interior the residing house. Not at all - my husband will be pushing 38 when our 2nd is born in November. If we decide to have a 3rd, he will be 40 when he or she is born. He has plenty of energy to play with our 2 and a half year old son right now and is a great dad.

No, thats not too old at all. In fact, being a little older has many advantages - he probably makes more money than a younger man, and is more stable, more patient, and has much more knowledge and experience to draw from.
40 is probably a pretty good age for a man to become a parent.
