Bag or box and just drop it off at the rear of the Goodwill store.
They also have little trailers called Donation Stations where you can drop off stuff. Thanks for recycling!

What I usually do is go around and decide what's dirty and if I can't decide then I just wash it. Then I scoot the clothes both clean and dirty outta the room(gotta have 2 baskets). If you have in home washer dryer then good idea to put a load in. I grab a huge trash bag and just pick up whatever trash might be on the floor. I leave that around because most likely I'll find more trash later. Then if you have dishes put in the sink(do later). Then make your bed because that just makes a huge difference. Whatever is misplaced put it where it goes and if it doesn't have a place then it probably shouldn't be in your room or make a place for it. Now you gotta dust your furniture and clean all the mirrors. Next you either sweep and mop or vaccum depending on your floor. Once all this is done and you have dishs to wash then do that. Then all fold your clean clothes and put it away. This might be a good time to sort what you want and what you can do with out. Hope this helps:) And always make it a point to put the dirty clothes where it goes.

The first thing you need to do is look at the item and decide if you would wear or use it. If the answer is NO because it is torn or way out of fashion, throw it away.
If it is broken or missing major parts - throw it away.
Also - certain items cannot be accepted due to inability to turn them over (no one wants them) or because of health law restrictions.
The first thing you should do is educate yourself on what is acceptable, and then take a hard look at the items you want to donate. http://www.goodwillmass.org/donation_what.html
Then take an inventory, and keep the list. You can take a tax deduction for gifts to charity. BUT the IRS does look at these and will call you for an audit if they think you misled them.
Then put your items in any CLEAN container which you can carry, and which, preferably, you are prepared to leave at the donation center.
Take them and drop them off. If you leave them at an unattended bin, don't leave the box outside. The items will be 1) stolen 2) ruined by weather 3) infested by pests or 4) rejected as unidentifiable.

When donating to goodwill you can put your old clothes in anything... I have used boxes, trash bags, and I have even carried them in. They don't really care because when it gets to them they have to sort through them anyway and keep the stuff that is in the condition they prefer. So don't worry to much about what you put them in because they take them right out and sort through them... Hope this helps!!!

Use whatever you have available to donate your clothing.
Please, though consider this -- I'm sure you will, so please know this is for the benefit of others who may be reading this and may not be aware --
Goodwills are NOT able to do anything with your ripped, buttons-missing, stained-beyond-belief, super-ratty clothing. If it's in bad shape - pitch it. Just because someone may have a need to take advantage of a thift store for the pricing, doesn't mean they have no self-respect and will be okay with wearing your old ripped shirt with the ketchup stain on it.
You may also donate household items to Goodwill, but again, please don't donate broken items - they can't use them, can't sell them and THEY have to pay to have the trash hauled away. For a non-profit organization to pay to haul away broken TV's or other household appliances.....well, funding isn't infinite, and it KILLS an agency's operating budget.
Remember, it's a charity thrift store, not a dump.

They want them cleaned and in trash bags and deposited in the clothing dumpsters that are usually seen around schools and other businesses. Or you can just simply go to the Goodwill store itself and hand them over to the cashier or associate there.

Drive up to the donation box usually behind the store, and drop the clothes off.

Box it. Go to your nearest goodwill to dump it. That's it.

It not going to matter as long as their clean and in good condition. You could seperate out summer/winter, adults sizes to kids sizes, that sorta thing, try to get as many people involved in it too.
