did Adam and Eve have belly buttons? Were they Jewish? Or were they baptised, and if so, by who? But please don't say the Snake did the honors, because according to Scripture he played a whole different role.

"did Adam and Eve have belly buttons?"

Hmm, before or after they were kicked out of the Garden of Eden? If it was after, then it would be impossible to tell since they covered up from that point on. :)

"Were they Jewish?"

No. A Jew is someone who's mother is Jewish or who converted to Judaism. The Jewish lineage (outside of converts) goes back to the Jews who left Egypt. Since they predated that time, and predated Abraham, they were not Jewish.

"Or were they baptised, and if so, by who? "

No, Baptism is a Christian ceremony and wasn't around at the time.

Here is a far more interesting question? What fruit was it? (Hint: Its not an apple.)

No, they did not. You can only have a belly button if you were born of a woman, but neither Adam nor Eve were. That would have made a great evangelical tool! Just go up to someone and say, "You wanna see something cool?" and pull up your shirt.
The Jews didn't appear until about 2000 years after Creation, so no, Adam and Eve weren't "Jewish", but they were human.
Before they sinned, Adam and Eve had no need to be baptized, because they were sinless. However, after they sinned, God required them to start sacrificing animals, a custom that led all the way up to Abraham and his descendants, the Jews. After Christ, the system of sacrificing animals was abolished, since Christ became the Lamb once for all. All that was required for a new believer after that time is to be publicly baptized, which means that you partake in Christ's death, burial and resurrection.

No they didn't have bellybuttons because they were not born of woman

They were not Jewish or of any other nationality. There were no nations. They were alone.

They were not baptised because baptism is a presenting of oneself before God, with a request for forgiveness of our sins and a clean conscience. Adam & Even were perfect for a time so baptism was not necessary, and that provision only came into being after they bore chlidren.

LMAO, You put every question asked every day in one post. But you missed the one about whether their kids had sex with each other or not?

Baptism came later. I don't know what race they were. Didn't man originate from around the Middle East? I wouldn't think they would have belly buttons.

I don't think they had belly buttons, since they were never in the womb. No, they were not Jewish. Judaism did not come along until later. They were not baptized, either... that came along MUCH later.

*Edit-I'm with you, sherl... Seriously, we answer the question and get rated down. I didn't even see any overtly Christian connotations or condescending remarks in either of our answers. If I didn't believe in fairies before, I at least believe in a virtual breed of them now.

They are fictional characters. They did not have belly buttons. They were not Jewish. They were not baptized.

i would say that they didn't have belly buttons (how could they?).

they were the only people so they didn't have a nationality.

and baptism didn't start until the new testament so they probably weren't.

my thoughts
