If ye shoulder parrot be nippin at your hearing holes what be the best method to get the scallywag to behave?

Rule 1: don't put your parrot on your shoulder. Parrots are smart and are always looking for ways to dominate the flock (the flock being you). Being high up is a power position, and if they are on your shoulder they will feel in power. When you have your bird with you, hold them on your hand. It's a pain, but you have to stay in charge of the relationship.
