I had a dream that a snake was trying to attack me. It was huge, fat and orange. I closed a sliding glass door in the dream and it jumped on it trying to get to me. I'm kind of freaked out cause I know snakes sometimes represent evil. Anyone know what my dream could mean? I don't dream about snakes like ever by the way.

Snakes in dreams represent vital or psychic energy; thus your dream has a very important message for you--perhaps you need to balance your unconscious energies that influence your feelings, urges, and instincts. The orange snake could represent the vital energy at orange chakra=2nd chakra, Sacrum, svādhiṣṭhāna, स्वाधिष्ठान --out of harmony it it is threatening. Please meditate or day-dream on the issue of excesses in life that waste energy, or continue to hide--shut the door of your consciousness--it's your choice--your vitality--your life and your dream.
I hope it helps.

Snakes represent sexuality in alot of dreams...maybe you feel someone is trying to sexually "get at you" even though you have closed the door to that relationship...but not all the way if it was not a big wood door but a screened in sliding door...that is more fragile...and more likely to be gotten through.
Snakes can also represent past sexual experiences. This sounds as though you feel threatened sexually and feel that you have tried to close the door on this but feel that your defenses to this have not been secure enough.

Snakes represent deception or deceit. Your dream is showing you that their is some kind of deception which is trying to attack you and over take you. But the by closing the sliding glass door it means you have closed the opportunity for the deception to get to you. It can also come through people you know.

Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can't be trusted.
