So I have science homework.. and my task is to find out and evaluate the claims of sport drinks. Do you think that they work? And why?

I think your teacher meant scientific studies. There's been tons of research done on this topic, look for it. Narrow your search by looking at sports-related websites, weightloss sites, etc.

Just because I am feeling nice...
Sports drinks are great when actually doing physical activity. Your body looses essential components through sweating. Many of the sports drinks can help replace those things like electrolytes, sugars, and some vitamins.
The problem is many people drink sports drinks as a regular drink. This can have it's own problems since the body doesn't need these components so it may store them for future use (fat, etc)

Will i dont think they work but the ppl who made them want ppl to think that why cause if u drink any type of drink our even water u gain energy and so it goes the same with food.

What they have in them electrolytes, these alolow you to becmoe better hydrated as opposed to just plain water. to much water can dilute the salts inside the body's cells and interferes with their chemical functions. This can lead to water intoxication.

What kind of sports drinks? Like Gatorade/Powerade? Or muscle mass building drinks.. Megs Mass or Whey Protein? Please be more specific..Thanks
