I think it's great. I wish him good luck for next year, as I do for all the drivers.

I can't say that I'm surprised that he'll be driving the 88 since he used to have the 8. They're trying to keep a little bit of what people know him for. One 8 or two, he's still got an 8 so people who don't know much about Nascar other than 8 is Dale Jr maybe won't be so confused, and its also not such a shock to our system! I can't say that I know anything at all about Amp Energy or that I've ever drank it, but I think its a good fit for him. Kind of like Bud, its something that is popular with a lot of the younger people who are fans of Nascar, and those who are not fans, but drink it might now become fans because there is something new that links the sport of Nascar to them.

I think it's cool Jr will drive the #88. At least there's an 8 in the number, and I'm glad about that. But Amp Energy Drink as one of his sponsors? I heard them say on ESPN2 that Amp is the least selling Energy Drink (probably because it tastes like crap).
I love Mt. Dew, though. And the National Guard? Doesn't Caesy Mears have that as a sponsor?

His sponsor is Pepsico, Mountain Dew the primary along with the National Guard. I just saw the news conference, Jr is geeked about the number, said and listed all the drivers of #88, including Bobby Allison. He said Dale Jarret is a good friend of his and would try to make him proud. Hendrick said the #88 has won 65 NASCAR races.

I'm really glad about the 88 number. I just need to find some 8's to fix all my bumper stickers....... I couldn't drink Bud, because it was headache in a can for me... now I can drink AMP,,,, because it probably has so much caffine in it that it will blow a headache away....

Just ordered both cars off QVC..... Gotta have them..Jr's first 88 rides. I think it will be great for him to be a part of the dream team....I may have to start liking Jimmy Johnson...lol

i think of he does. yet there are various distinctive flavors, and he probable has to make certain the wonderful style of Amp for each music. If eating Amp does not help, he can attempt dumping a can of it into the gasoline tank.

Despite most people thinking the number of the car will somehow effect his driving it just doesn't matter to me. But both the Amp/Mt Dew and National Guard cars look generic. Would have been as logical to go with all white.

Amp, Mountain Dew and the National Guard on the #88. Is the National Guard on Casey Mear's car?

I haven't heard the #88, i heard #81. I don't think it matters. A driver should be able to drive any car and Jr should have no problem . the real question is who's gonna b-itch slap Teresa?

Maybe the #88 will get a win in 2008.....wait, Ton Eury Jr is still going to be his crew chief...never mind.

It does matter what his number is or his sponsor. DJ's out to win and now he can do it. And you bet believe I am supporting him (and wearing his merchandise.)
