Not only it is possible but obligatory as there is no other method to multiply coconuts except starting from a scratch i. e. starting from a seed .

It is required that you plant whole coconut In the soil.

It requires a lot of Patience as the process of germination requires a lot many days and aftercare .

Just a guess on my part, but the coconut is the seed....how to...that would be your guess....hmn...something about the eye of the coconut......good luck with it!
