Bring your left hand over the club a little more. Make sure that the club face is actually facing down the fairway. A common fault is to grip the club with the face wrong. If you think that this ia so turn the club in your hand. Do not turn the wrist. With a driver it is a thought process that you have to come through at 100mph. If you do this your head will come up automatically and your wrist will not have come back, after cocking it at the top of your swing, to the starting point. Do a three quarter swing and come through at half your usual speed, keep the head down, eye on the ball and follow right through. You probability do all this with your short irons. Well the action is the same for the woods and driver etc. Best of luck, I played on Tuesday and came in 3 under net par. Sometimes I come in 6 over net par.

Place the ball on your left foot. tee it high, the ball should be on the top on the club face. Your left hand should grip the club more on the fingers not with the palm. Do not overpower the driver, imagine you are swinging a 4 iron. Then, swing it easy. You should get at least 200 yards top. I hope this will help. BTW, don't buy another driver yet.

sounds as if your swing plane is affected by the ball not being far enough forward in your stance. You are probably addressing the ball exactly the same as you do for your fairway shots. Try imagining another ball to the left of yours and HIT that....in other words move the ball further forward in your stance.
Most players have a weak spot in their game, tee shots, fairway or green...at least you have identified yours. Now you can work on it.

The longer the shaft, the harder it is to time your shot. Also, having the driver in their hands tends to make people try to thrash the ball as hard as possible, which makes timing it even harder. Concentrate on your body position at the top of your backswing and on the transfer of weight through your swing, don't worry about putting any power into your shots until you've got the ball going where you want it to go.

relax, its the same swing but with a longer shaft and slightly forward ball position.practice the old 3 ball diagonal drill and just swing with eeze.start by using 50%power,then build it up to full power, you wil soon find out which one is the best for you.above all just relax.

I agree with umbertomojo entirely - when we get a driver in our hands we all tend to think solely about power, whereas if we were to concentrate on getting the stroke accurate first, the length will follow. I have to keep reminding myself of that . . .
