Why did Montenegro want to leave Serboslavia?

Because when the Balkans were dominated by Yugoslavia, Belgrade's agenda was transforming the nation into a "Greater Serbia," hence the genocidal war that was going on throughout the 1990's. Needless to say, Montenegro feels it has reason to fear facing such a war, despite the fact that Belgrade isn't run by the butchers who controlled it in the 1990's.
