I'm a Dale Jr fan, I do not hate Jeff Gordon.. I've met the guy he is one real nice guy..Yes, he is a whiner, but if he stopped whining we'd find something else to complain about him...He has been around for so long, he started when he was super young, and he is a winner, wins alot.. He is on a power team. I'm looking forward to him being Dale Jr's team mate next yr.. Heck his energy drink tastes alot better than mountain dew amp... In all sports theres teams and players everyone hates. I actually know more Kurt Busch haters than Jeff Gordon... If you really want to see Jeff Gordon haters go to talladega one time, I call that place "Jeff Gordon Haters Mad House".. its unreal...maybe if he started loosing all the time, people would like him.. But until he retires, I have a feeling the Jeff Gordon hate squad will stay around..

I wonder the same thing all the time. It does seem the teams or people who have a lot of success always get put down. I am a Gordon fan but I am not completely biased with him either. There are so many things Gordon does like win that upset NASCAR fans. Its as simple as success brings people misery when its not them or someone they want to succeed. And it just so happens that's a lot of people do not want Gordon to succeed. NASCAR is full of fans who seem to not understand that. Bottom line is to accept the fact someone or something is good is different from not liking the team who is good. You can be a hater of whoever you want as long as you realize what talent they have.

Because people hate to see winners. The hatred came early on when Gordon provided competition to Dale Sr and people realized Gordon had much better skill then Sr. Gordon didnt need to spin someone on the final lap...or bump them out of the way to win a race. He set up the car and drove away from the field. He also wasnt a good ole boy, he came from California, with a chip on his shoulder and redneck nascar fans didnt like that. Its tough to accept when your hero gets all out dominated by the upstart. Sr may have been the intimidator but Gordon was and still is the Dominator.

I don't hate Jeff Gordon. I would be willing to bet if anyone could spend a day hanging around Jeff and their favorite driver I believe they would probably never say anything bad about him again. The hate for other drivers most of the time is just something they picked up from being around other idiots.

I have a different view as to why some dislike Jeff so much.
He didnt have to come up through the muck and mire like the old school drivers did. I guess I could say he didnt pay his dues like some older drivers did and some people resent it.
You can talk about Sr. and how Jeff had him scared but that is so far from the truth. Do any of you know who taught him to drive?????? Dale Sr. did!!!!!!!!!!! He owes everything he learned to Sr.
If Sr. were alive today and racing do you actually think that he would be scared of Jeff????
I DONT THINK SO!!!!!

Most of the people who dislike Jeff probably remember the first few years he was in NASCAR. NASCAR had 2 rule books then, One for Jeff and one for everyone else. Gordon was NASCAR's poster boy who could do no wrong. He was the first big name outsider to charge into the sport. Gordon was forced down everyone throats by the announcers of races as the next coming of Christ himself. Look back to the beginning of his career, no matter how poorly he finished he would get the same camera time as the winner. Theese are the reasons why people don't just dislike him but rather despise.

You have it exactly right. You don't see people hating on Dick Trickle. Or you don't hear people say, "I can't stand the Duke Blue Devil football team!"
It's simply, when someone is on top, there is always someone that is jealous of that. That why there is so much cheating going on in today's sports. Everybody wants to be #1. It's the American way...

Jealousy, simple fact of it all. The answers about his voice? Yea, I bet they sound so much more masculine? Lil Audrey has the gall to say someone is a sissy weenie, and knows nothing about them, like she is the UFC champ or something. Same o'l boring statements that should have been put to bed long ago, but some need something to make them feel superior and this is how they get it.. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

Because Jeff is one of the few class drivers..and stomped Earnhart in the dirt..is proven , fact- Jr. will be 114 yrs old in order to catch or surpass Jeff in wins, that is if Jeff wins no other races...two of his 4 titles came when the so called intimidator was driving..

It all pends why they hate him. Some might be rival NASCAR fans who are upset with him kicking so much butt in them races. Some might be upset cause he's such a nice guy and people now days don't believe that this nice guy can finish first. I know though personally of one of my friends who loathes him cause his girlfriend is totally in love with Jeff hahahah.
