them back??? ..I dont have a CD or anything!! They were just on when i bought it!!

He reset it by deleting everything and setting up again by putting a recovery CD in..i guess it didnt have the microsoft stuff on it!

How did your dad reset it? Did he use a different disk or something? Your laptop should have come with a recovery CD, so that if anything goes wrong when it is reset it should go back to how it was when you bought it. You'll have to find out what he did!

Go to MIcrosoft and type in the search box what You are looking for. You will have pay for the 2007 version but 2003 should be free.

Download and install the following
OpenOffice.org (or Abiword and Gnumeric if you prefer something faster) for an office suite
Scribus for desktop publishing
InfraRecorder for CD/DVD burning
Mozilla Seamonkey for web browsing and e-mail
Paint.NET for images

It depends HOW he 'reset' it.

If it was formatted then its all gone.
There are free word processors downloadable on the internet.

You could try the System Restore.

Click start, All Programs, Accessories, system tools.
Choose a date before your dad 'reset it'.

you can ask your laptop manufacturer or the store you bought it from to send you another cd.
