First of all, thanks for looking and for any advice you may have.

I am hungry litterally all of the time. I can eat a meal where I am so full I can't walk and within minutes of my finishing I feel hungry. There is no way I could eat more food without throwing up (it's taken a while for me to know when to stop eating).

I never feel hunger pains. If I didn't eat anything all day I wouldn't be hungry. It's after I eat something at the start of the day I feel like I need to be eating. It almost feels like I am compulsively eating but I never feel full. The hunger feeling only stops while I am eating.

I almost ended up with an involuntary eating disorder because I would eat so much I would trow up.

I'm not asking because I can't control myself. I try to eat 3 times a day but I do snack a few times. I really just want to know if anyone has any ideas on what it could be.

Hunger problems of this nature are usually caused by a thyroid gland malfunction, and less commonly by damage to the hypothalamus. Hunger is controlled in the brain by the Hypothalamus, and the thyroid gland acts as a switch that turns the hunger reflex on and off.

You probably need to get your thyroid function tested. Ask for a thyroid cascade test along with the T-3/T-4 test - This is not the usual thyroid test - it is more sensitive and it provides a complete picture.

It really sounds like you have an over active metabolism, that you should go see the doctor about...

In the mean time, if youre having a problem like that the best thing to do IS to eat all day. But instead of eating large full sized meals break each meal up into seperate meals (like 3 mini meals) plus add to that 5 "snack times" a day. that way youre eating all day long. Make sures its healthy but filling.

I really do say you need to go visit the doctor though, because he or she would be able to help you best.. even if they do a simply upper and/or lower GI to see whats going on when you eat something.

Its really something you need to talk to a dcotor about it. But there is a disorder, most commonly noticed in people with retardation, where a section of the brain that would tell you that you are full, isnt doing its job. The same can happen after a head injury.

Try exchanging what you consume within the morning. Instead of bagel check out a yogurt, a granola bar, might be leftovers from the night time earlier than? Anything is greater than not anything on the subject of breakfast when you consider that it is the fundamental meal of the day. If you uncover your self having the equal crisis for a protracted interval of time, pass speak in your surgeon. Good good fortune!
