Weekends are easier to do, due to that people dont' have to loose a day of work. But weekdays are cheaper. Saturdays are the most expensive day of the week to have a wedding. Holiday weekends are good to as well, especially for those who are traveling, such as labor day weekend, but those weekends book up really fast if you plan to have it at a vendor reception building or hall. You can also have weddings on Friday evenings which is becomign popular as well as Sundays, as in cheaper cost. There is no law that for any certain day of the week to get married. It all depends on month, time of year, and what's going on in peoples lives. Basically what day of the week is best for you too, and to get what you want. Yes consider your guests travel arrangements and thier schedule as well. if they traveling far, send them a reminder card months before, so that they can make arrangments with thier jobs (even for those who not coming far if you do it on a weekday that's not a holiday), and travel arrangments as well.

There is no correct day to get married. A lot of venues will have a cheaper rate for a week day rather than a weekend because it is less popular. So if you are looking to save money then a weekday might be helpful and the place may be move available. The downside to weekdays though are people who have to travel out of town.

Most people work during the week so the weekend would be better or you could get married in the evening on a Friday.

Weekends are much better, most people have off on the weekends and would attend as opposed to doing it during the week. During the week most places are cheaper thats why some people try to do it on Friday nights.

Weekends tend to be better so that your guests can attend. Most people would have to take time off of work to attend during the week.
The benefit to a wedding during the week is cost. Most banquet halls, caterers, florists, etc have more open time and in some cases, give discount rates for events during the week.
So, if you are having a small, fairly informal wedding, then you might consider doing it during the week. Especially if you're only talking about immediate family.
But if you are having more then 20 guests, the weekend is when most hold their weddings so that guests can attend without too much disruption to their workweek.

For your guests, a weekend is best as it is unlikely they will have to take time off from work to attend.
For your wallet, Fridays and Sundays - and probably any other weekday - are supposed to be less expensive.
While your wedding is about YOU & YOUR SPOUSE, you should take your guests traveling into consideration.
If you are having a small wedding, talk it over with your guests to see if they would mind a weekday. If you are having a large wedding - - go for a weekend.

I think if you are having a big wedding and want a lot of guests, then it is best to have it on the weekend when people are off work and can attend. However, if it is small it can be built around your schedule more. Just enjoy the day, it's all about you.

Why would anyone have a wedding during the week? Unless, of course, if it were a private ceremony with no guests. Most weddings are held on Saturdays because just about every guest is either going to be at work or school during the week. Honestly, I think it'd be pretty rude of the bride and groom to assume people should take time off from work to attend their ceremony.

Saturday is the best day to get married. Don't plan the wedding on a holiday, as most people have other plans for holidays. Also, check the calendar for events that might prevent guests from being able to attend on your wedding date. A friend of mine had his wedding during the OU-Texas football game, and a lot of the male guests were very dissapointed that they had to miss the game. Another friend of mine got married on New Years Eve, which completely ruined everyone's New Years plans. Plan the wedding for a neutral time when most people won't have conflicting schedules.

The weekend is better if you want them maximum guest turnout, but weekends are usually more expensive. During the week is better if you are having a small wedding, where most of the guests are in town. And it is usually less expensive because chruches and wedding halls have less of a demand for weekday weddings.
