As soon as he's had all his vaccinations he should be able to go out in public. Just start slowly, though. Don't immediately take him to the dog park or anyplace where there may be unvaccinated dogs.

Best not to do any jogging or really long walks until he's at least a year old. There have been studies that show dogs with too much exercise like that can develop bone and joint problems. Wait until he's fully grown before doing any of the serious exercising.

Providing he is atleast ten weeks, about the average time when people get a young pup, you can start right away. You want to get him used to the leash, Husky's do a lot better on harnesses though. They will pull less since they prefer not to have their throats restricted. As long as he walks well on a leash you can jog with him right now, just be sure to bring water for him. Huskys have unbelievable endurance, he'll probably outrun you! Just make sure he gets water before and after the run, and that it isn't too hot out, they are a little more heat sensitive than some breeds. Enjoy.

You can start walking them in public when they are fully vaccinated (including rabies). Puppies should not jog with you until they are at least one year (their bones are not done growing before that and you can cause damage). Walks can be 15-30 minutes depending on age and stamina. You can lengthen the time as he gets older (over 6 months). Twice daily for 30 minutes is preferable over one long walk.

Unless you are intent on damaging the pup's growth plates (damage that will be undetected until the dog is arthritic at an earlier age than usual) *I* would not do any formal jogging until he's at least a year of age. Even then, I would try to make sure he's not running on a hard surface but run him on grass, sand, snow etc..

You can take him for a walk when he's had all his shots.

As long as he has his Parvo shot and a distemper shot, you can walk it when ever you want. To jog, a least 5-6 mos. old. Puppies are just like babies, they tire out very fast and if it's a warm day Huskies can over heat very fast because of the thick coat of fur.

After the last round of vaccinations is the only time I would suggest walking your pup on the ground outside. Nasties like Parvo can live on the soil for years!
As for jogging, start slowly and build up stamina over time. Remember that when running, you have to get home and if your pup gets burned on the first half, you get to carry him home.
Good Luck, and have fun!

Once he's had his 3rd shot you can walk or job around your home but be careful with sniffing and other dog's stools. Once he's had his 4th shot you are free to go. But, he obviously will need to work up in distance and speed of the jog over 3 or so weeks. Be ready for a lot of pulling at first.

You can begin training your dog as soon as you get him. Start slowly get him the leash and teach him to walk around your yard, get a clicker and when he does it correctly click the clicker and give him a treat. Slowly you can move from your yard to a walk around the block, remember to always carry bags in case he decides to go potty somewhere you can pick it up. Clicker training is very useful in training all animals and is very easy to do. You can get a clicker at most pet stores and there are books and CD's there to show you how to do it. You have a great dog to jog with I had a beautiful Siberian myself they love to run and play they are great in the snow and in the water. I love the color of their eyes! Good luck with your puppy,
T

I believe the dog whisperer said 9 months for all dogs. Being a siberian husky, expect alot of energy. You may have to learn to take the dog for a walk using a bicycle.
