All surrouding nations would be united against Israel (Psalm 83:4-8; Zechariah 12:2) This never happened in history. Yet, today Israel is surrounded by Muslim natioons sworn to destruction. Muhammed said: The hour (last day) will not come until you fight with the Jew, and the stone behind which the Jew will be hiding will say. O' Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him'" (Sahih Al-Bukhari,vol.4,b. 52, Hadith #177).
And this,
Iran (Persia), Sudan (Cush), and Libya (Put) would also partake in the attack on Israel (Ezekial 38. Anti- Semitism in hte Islamic world is rampant. According to the Koran and Hadith, Muslims are commanded to fight and slay non-believers in Jihad (holy war) unless tehy convert to Islam (Surah 9:5 and 47:4 vol. 1, b. 2, Hadith #24 and 35)
What is your opinion on this?

Actually, Israel and Jerusalem have been surrounded by nations that want to destroy them several times in history: the Babylonian invasion and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD are only two.
What you should keep in mind is that God seeks to teach us by example and pattern: what happened yesterday will happen in the future. So while the events depicted in Psalm 83 were true at the time the Psalmist wrote about being surrounded by these nations, God seeks to show us that it will happen again. If you look at all of the nations listed in Psalm 83, you will see they are all primarily Muslim nations that still hate Israel and the Jewish people; they still want to destroy the country, as described in the Psalm. History repeats itself by design -- God wants us to understand how to read the signs of the times so we'll be ready.
Reading these signs, we can be sure the Ezekiel 38/39 invasion of Israel is truly imminent.

Ezekiel 38 may occur in our lifetimes, a sobering thought since the iranians and russians would never launch an all out attack on Israel if the US were able to stop them.... I hate to think what's going to happen for them to feel they can attack Israel with impunity, but of course they'll be humiliated and Israel will still be standing when the dust clears.

Keep in mind that most prophecies are more so metaphorical than literal. Perhaps the land of Israel is the Middle East (after all Israel is a man made country) and if this prophecy is being fulfilled what are we to expect?

Not much longer before the final war hits.
If Iran attacks Israel, Israel will hit back HARD. They will not go quietly again. If they are attacked, we will be forced to join in the war to protect them and it will force the entire world to choose sides again and WW3 will be in full swing.
It sucks but that little lunatic running Iran has a death wish.
I just hope the Iranian people revolt against him before it happens. The majority don't like him or his threats.

Frankly, I'm not gonna start worrying about the "End Times" until the Dome of the Rock comes crashing down and the Jews start rebuilding the Temple.

Israel has borders with Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan. Of these four, two (Egypt and Jordan) have signed peace treaties with Israel. So it cannot be said that all surrounding nations are united against Israel.

Are you blind? I don't mean to be rough on you, but the Jews are the greatest show of fulfilled prophecy in the Holy Bible. Became a nation in one day. prophesied and fulfilled Speaks the original language. prophesied and fulfilled Returned on wings of eagles - written thousands of years before airplanes. prophesied and fulfilled. God said He would gather them out of every nation - prophesied and fulfilled And there are many more. Read the Bible.

That prophecy has already come true when Babylon conquered Israel in about 550 BC.
