That is a pretty small amount. Since it is your first offense you will likely get probation and maybe some community service. Dress as nicely as possible and be very polite in court. That's all you have to do.

Your state law says:
Possession of 30 grams or less of marijuana is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a fine of up to $500.
For first offenders, the court may grant probation without verdict.

but if you get busted again they'll come down much harder than you. Good luck today in court, I think you're going to be okay! :)

Almost identical to my own state a first time offense conviction is a misdemeanor with up to one year in jail and a fine with court costs.

Most often a jail sentence is suspended and you pay the court costs and fines and remain on probation for one to two years.

Any subsequent conviction for a possession after the misdemeanor conviction is an automatic felony.

Best wishes.

I'm not ever certain you will get probation. You might just get a fine and a slap on the wrist. I haven't been busted with pot since I was a minor, so I am unsure. It's pretty crappy that you should get anything for a little more than an eighth of bud, ya know?

laws differ by state, but i was charged with "possession of less than one ouncne" and "parafinalia" and they dropped the "parafinalia" and charged me $121 dollars and that was it. but a great possibility for you is 6 mos probation, UAs and a little community service
