i live in Suffolk County, Long Island. I want to throw a b-day party for my daughter who turns 5 in January. I tried this place Wood kingdom in Farmingdale, but they wanted $350.00 for a hour and and a half!! WAY too expensive! Any other suggestions? It would have to be an indoor party based on the time of year. Also, I don't want to do McDonalds as we've been to a party there, it wasen't that great so I'd like to do something else. I'm looking for other suggestions besides Chuckey Cheeses.

My suggestion would be an outdoor winter carnival type party. You can go sledding, have a snow ball throwing contest, who can throw the furthest, who can make the most..., you can get some cheap spray bottles and fill them with colored water and they can "paint" the snow, after the kids have had enough fun outside, they can come in and have hot chocolate, cookies, cake, open presents, and the party is over. Hope your little one has a good party.

I am throwing a Bug Themed Birthday Party for my son this coming Sunday. The attendees will be boys and girls (ages 4 to 7). Anyway, I wrote an article about it on Associated Content. Maybe it will interest you. Good luck!

You could do a dress up party/ tea party for her at home. Let her invite friends over, wait on her hand and foot for the tea party, give her a bell to call you. Put a big pile of your dresses and other frilly clothes and let them play with them and put all the clothes on. Let them play with make up (or buy cheap makeup kits for kids from a drug store) for each one. Be creative. You dont have to spend a fortune, kids arent that picky!!

Look around in your area. In VA Beach, where I live we have this place called The Jumping Monkey and they have all those air filled play things, like moon bounces. My daughter went to a party there and it was awesome. She was so tired afterwards as well! Good Luck!

Why not have a PJ party at home for a few of her friends? Get a new pillow and everyone signs it.
