its a residual street me and the driver were face each other driver side to driver side. i was going to turn left and the driver had the right away. i slow down and somehow could not stop in time. the officier ran both of our license.... i had had speeding tickets years ago but not in the last 14 years and at that time the policier would give you a ticket right on the spot and would have to pay it within 15 days. i need heard of getting a ticket in the mail but i use not going to sit and argue with the cop. i did what he told me.

As a cop, I'll tell you one thing (because you did forget to mention HOW the accident occured) you aren't being charged with drinking and driving. They would have taken you into custody then and there.
So, your citation will be for the traffic violation. What ever it was.

I myself have never heard of a ticket being mailed mainly because it's required you sign the ticket. I would contact the County clerk and ask if they have any outstanding files on your drivers License number but I would guess the officer cut you a break yet wanted to shake you up a bit. If not they would know the exact status.

The citation could be for a number of different things, since you weren't specific. It would have to be for whatever action caused the accident. Both of you had insurance, and no one was hurt. Since the Officer didn't witness the accident, he can not testify against you. Most likely, your citation will be dismissed in court, since the insurance is handling the damage.

It is not unusual to get a ticket in the mail in this type of situation, more than likely the ticket will be for soemthing like unsafe lane change, failure to yield or something similar. If he didn't have you blow in a tube, give blood or urine, then I don't think you'll be busted for DUI

If I'm knowledge this correct it sounds such as you had been pulling out of a car park to show left onto a freeway. The freeway is four lanes on all sides. The two lanes of site visitors closest to you, heading the reverse manner of the best way you had been turning stopped to permit you to pull out in entrance of them to show. The girl that hit you used to be traveling within the third lane over (out of the four lanes that you just had been crossing in entrance of to show)? If that is the case than you're at fault. The girl that hit you had the correct of manner. Even regardless that the two lanes of site visitors had been waving you on, you continue to didn't have the correct of manner. It does not topic that her brakes had been going out. I have labored as an coverage agent for the beyond nine.five years & I have obvious a couple of injuries similar to this one. In they all, the man or woman that used to be pulling out in entrance of site visitors to show left used to be deemed at fault. Hope this is helping.

Sorry, I do not know what the ticket would be for. In my state an officer cannot issue a ticket unless he actually witnesses the violation.

It should only be for being at fault!! His little field test means nothing(except he's a jerk),I wouldn't have left my car & walked either! (he is a jerk). 2 wine coolers the nite before? Nothing there, maybe he thought you were stoned??? HE REALLY IS A JERK!! Don't worry about it!!
