I'm asking because I have a 14 yr old little sis and she is driving me insane! She is constantly giving everyone attitude, she always thinks everyone is against her, and if you even look at her wrong she will blow up in your face. Living with her is very difficult. I know I went through a stage like this but I don't remember it being that severe. What age does this behavior usually calm down in teenage girlsl?

I would say when they start maturing.....Your sister is a typical teenager who will grow into a young lady and then into a woman who will continue to have mood swings.....It's apart of being a Woman........

I'm a guy, but I will tell you that in boys, 14 is a pretty ugly age for hormones that create a lot of mood swings and quirky behavior. It usually dies down a little bit through ages 15 through 16.5, makes a final push at around age 16.5 through 17.5 and then pretty much dies off for good after that. I would imagine that the patterns for girls aren't all that much different.

I have an 18 yr old daughter, my answer is somewhere between 2-18.

But 14 can be a very difficult age for a teen girl. lots of changes happening in her body, her struggle to fit in with peers, her independence from her mother/ sister's.
Lots of emotional and physical changes are happening.
Just remind her no one is out to get her when she is at home.

11-16, thats when the body changes the most. they are also dealing with school and image and that stuff. really try and analyse her behaviour, dont ask what is wrong because she wont tell you. just go easy and let her feel that she can be alone sometimes-she just needs to feel whatever shes feeling. however if shes being rude thats not acceptable and you need to make this clear, no one likes people with attitudes.

I will say 14-16. because you got to realize this is a hard stage for her this is when they become more mature, they receive their "life cycle" and mainly that where all the attitude come for. just remember when you was young.

it's called hormones, feeling as if we are growing up and expressing our independence.

everyone is individual, and different when it comes to this.

your parents need to take action and talk to her about her behaviors. it's not your responsibility.
