We all believe different things, even if some of our beliefs are similliar. Is it right to be condemmed for "trolling" by asking questions regarding one's beliefs?

We have people asking if Jesus was a pirate on here for Pete's sake and I am being blasted for asing legit questions.

Do people have the right to say what beliefs they think are right and which wrong?

Of course we do.

If what you do is put non-questions AS questions, then you are in violation of the Guidelines for this site. For instance, if you post sermons as questions, that's a violation and should be reported.

Or if you insult other participants, that, too is a violation.

Please read the Guidelines and abide by them. If you don't want to abide by them, don't use this site.

Here's a site similar to this one, but with no guidelines:

The thing about asking about someone's beliefs is hard because your beliefs are part of the way that you shape your life, no matter what belief system that is. So, when you disagree with someone's beliefs, you almost disagree (or even challenge in some cases) their way of life. So, in that respect, people take it very personally. It's very difficult to have a discussion about them without emotion getting in the way.
I do believe in a lot of different things, but I think the underlying message of many belief systems is the same: Love each other. It's said different ways, but it all comes down to that ideal.
In response to your question, no, I don't believe it's right for people to say it's wrong. They might not agree, but I also personally think that they are all a piece to this big puzzle.

Asking legitimate questions about a religion is acceptable! But, in my humble opinion, people who make fun of another person's beliefs, are nothing short of bullies!
Does it make a person feel big, or better because they can attack a religion, just because they can't be seen, or known for their actions?
Curiosity is a great thing! I have a lot of questions about other tenets, but I refuse to insult theirs, just because they insult mine! This is the Religion and Spirituality Category! That implies that we should respect each others values and views! And the fact that it doesn't happen, is very sad! If we can not practice what we preach, then we do not belong in this Category!
Survival instincts are very strong, so if you slur, or slander, or trash my religion though, I'll slam you hard, not your church! YOU!
Although, I have noticed, that on here, those that attack, very rarely leave a shining example of what you SHOULD believe in THEIR opinion!

I wouldn't report you for trolling on that basis, but I strongly suspect that the people who claimed that your belief system is wrong didn't do so solely because they don't agree with it.

You asked a question about where a stillborn baby is, and I correctly pointed out that it's in the grave where you said it was buried. You seemed to want to hear "it's in heaven" or "it's in purgatory" or something like that, but in fact, that's false. It's in the grave. If you think otherwise, you're simply wrong - not just because I disagree, but because you're wrong. Truth is not relative.

No, its not right. You have to respect each others beliefs even if we don't agree. The problem comes in when you have people who know in their heart that they are wrong without anyone even going out of their way to tell them. Why do you even care why someone agrees or not? Don't wait for any-ones approval to validate your beliefs.

No... it is NOT right for a group to claim that your belief system is wrong because they don't agree with it. However, it is CORRECT for ANYBODY to assert that your belief system is wrong... for the simple reason that ALL 'belief systems' are stupid and irrelevant.

'Faith' (magical, wishful thinking) is a lame and pathetic substitute for 'evidence'.

Faith-based 'belief' (the internalized certainty that you are privy to the 'truth' pertaining to vital aspects of existence and reality) is a lame and pathetic substitute for 'knowledge'... in fact, it is the ILLUSION of knowledge.

Faith + belief ---> Self-delusion and willful ignorance.

'Belief' is an insidious mind-killer... it cuts one off from the open-minded and intellectually honest (willing to actively question and doubt one's own assumptions) consideration of alternative possibilities.

"When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called Religion." ~ Robert M. Pirsig

"The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance... it is the illusion of knowledge." ~ Daniel Boorstin

It is absolutely essential if I believe that your belief is wrong that I should say so.
If I do not, by default your belief might be considered correct even though that were not true.
Things would develop from there so that you could eventually control everyone.

Generally someone who has poor boundaries and expects everyone to do as they say you should, based off of a pretty bloated ego causes some of these problems. It's certainly not virtuous speech/writing in the Buddhist sense to say you're wrong and even to claim that my way is better/right.

yes, it is right for a group of people to claim your belief system is wrong perhaps not because they don't agree with your belief but because perhaps they believe that, objectively, your belief system is wrong. But it is right for you also to claim that your belief system is not wrong even if they don't agree with you.

we have the right to determine the wrongness or correctness of a belief system. but our right of determining does not guarantee that the result of our determining is correct.

Right?

There is no "right" or "wrong" about it.
You believe something.... They tell you that you're wrong because they don't agree...

Big freakin deal.
If you care that much about what idiots think then you've got an issue. If you're that fussed then just give them a taste of their own medicine and tell them that what they believe is wrong because YOU don't agree with it.
