You should see if your school has a counseling center where you can talk to someone, or talk to a doctor or mental health professional. It sounds like you may be depressed.

Good luck,

Your school should have a counseling office. Check with them. It's usually free. You might need medication for a short time, or maybe you just need to talk out your problems.

If you're having study problems, there should be help for that as well. Check in your school's library or study center.

Try to do something every day that you enjoy, even if it's just a candy bar or a 10-minute walk. Try to find some time each day to meet with or talk to a friend. Maybe look into activities on your campus--photography, chess, music, drama, some kind of sports team--whatever interests you. It's easy to feel down if all you do is go to class and then back to your room.

Good luck to you.

You sound depressed but the only one who can diagnose clinical depression is a doctor, preferably a psychiatrist. You need to talk to a professional. If your school has a student health service or if you have a family doctor I advise telling him/her the same as you have told us. For more info on depression just type "depression" into Yahoo! web search and a number of links comes up. Wikipedia usually has good summaries; so does WebMD.com, NIMH, NAMI etc.

The webmed link will give you a link to an on-line depression support group. Also by just typing in "depression support groups" into yahoo! web search a number of on-line depression support links can be found. For a referral to a local face to face support group for depressive disorders ask your student counselor, doctor or a pastor for a recommendation.

Yahoo has a depression support group:
health.groups.yahoo.com/group/depression
You will get much more info on the disorder from these guys and gals than can be given here.
