I've seen some amazing things which some idiots call 'miraculous' because they have a very limited vocabulary as well as a very narrow outlok on life.
The word divine should be removed from the dictionary as irrelevant because gods do not exist.

Hard to say. I think most people naturally offer up a prayer when they are in, or see someone in, a dire situation. And as for Divine Intervention, whose to say that the right person (or thing) being in the right place at the right time is such a case.

I think back to Kevin Everett, the football player who suffer the life-threatening spinal injury during a game a couple of weeks ago. One of the doctors on the field that day had been involved in doing research into treating such injuries and 'just happened to have' the necessary equipment on hand to treat Mr. Everett right on the field. Is that divine intervention or good planing. I don't know. But I'm sure Mr. Everett will consider it a miracle the day he walks out the hospital instead of being wheeled out as a quadriplegic or carted out in a box.

Neither I nor anyone else to my knowledge has ever witnessed anything "miraculous" in any way, shape or form.

Some people are just more easily surprised and confused than others, and tend toward superstitious nonsense.

If you're discounting Divine Intervention too then, oddly enough, I'd imagine you're actually discounting 100% of positive results.

I knew a woman in Tennessee. She lived in a nursing home and was in a wheel chair with advanced Alzheimers. I saw documentation for this condition as well as pictures. I wasn't at the meeting but I heard something threw her out of her chair. She atended bible school after that and spent the rest of her days visiting people in the hospital and sharing Jesus with them. Her name was May Stafford. I also suggest investigating this web site. I am not endorsing everything this person is saying however be open minded and put on your investigative journalist cap and check it out. This is a different case of a woman named Betty Baxter. I don't kow if she is still alve or not but if possible dig deep and see what you can turn up. http://www.geocities.com/bettybaxterstory/index2.html If possible try and contact this person.

I have migraines frequently. They usually fade in, last for a day or so then fade out. But this last time I had one, it faded in then suddenly disappeared after a couple of hours. I did nothing differently than normal.

My point is that I could easily claim that it was prayer that made the headache go away. But in realilty it wasn't. It just happened to go away on its own, which is out of the norm for my headaches.

Yes, I woke up 2 inches taller on Saturday, which I can only put down to constant prayer.... that and the torture rack.

Yes, the day I died. The hospital staff did a good job in reviving me, saving my life.

No prayers or Divine intervention. God wasn't needed that day.

Define 'miraculous'!

I have various conditions that would have meant my death in former times. I am alive because of modern medical care and attention, which would have seemed 'miraculous' to our ancestors.

I see a miracle everyday. It's called the miracle of life, and whilst it might be part of Gods plan not many people pray for it, most take it for granted.

When i was around 7, I had loads of warts on the sides of my fingers, about 20 on each hand, the doctor wouldn't burn them off due to my age and couldn't help.
We went to visit my Dads uncle who lived the other side of the country, we told him about them and he told me to count them before bed that night.
I got home and counted them when i got into bed, the next morning they had all gone!
