Absolutely.Every historical detail recorded in the bible has been verified as fact by secular archaeologists,anthropologists and other researchers initially intending to discredit the Bible which in turn led to not a few of them turning on the light upstairs and seriously considering God's word in other parts of the Bible thus being convinced of the plain truth;if we have an ordered creation all around us we must have a creator

Yes, it one of the most precious sources of history we have... even if it is of a calibre that is different from today's encylcopedias. Those olden writings are very revealing about human beings and their concepts, notions, wars, sociologies, superstitions, philosophies and relgious practices, as well as the way they lived and taught their children, and all the stories, psalms have contained within them makes for a wonderful collection of books with great wisdom and knowledge to learn from. It should never be discounted as a valuable source.
