Living life according to what others dictate in a Holy book, choosing not to do things not because they're harmful or wrong but because someone simply has told you not to do it, and not tolerating or in some cases actively working against people whose morality or life choices differ from your own or contradict your own religious doctrine?

Lucid Interrogator and Premaholic, you'd have a chance if this were the SCIENCE channel so for now just a thumbs-up on general principles.

I am of course talking in a spiritual context here.

Kaliko, good for you, it sounds like you embrace many of the positive aspects of your religion. I wish that more would think as you do rather than just heedlessly quote scripture, for example.

I live life to the fullest and I am a Christian. The only things that God/Bible tells us not to do are actually harmful to us. By following his rules it keeps us safe and helps us live a moral life. I concentrate more on what the bible says I can do rather than can't do. I screw up like all humans and sin now and then. I don't work against others that don't believe like me. I simply walk my talk. It is not for us to judge anyone. If someone asks me a question about what I believe I will share it with them. They may not like or agree with my answer but oh well - that is my opinion. I do base my belief system on the bible but that is the CHOICE I have made. I do not feel dictated to regarding the bible. No one has told me what to do or how to feel except God/Jesus.
