to be straight with you, no, even the "ten suggestions" would have a belief structure based on it and lets face it beliefs are what get people killed.

So you think God gave moses some suggestions? Those were the Ten Commandments. Is no surprise to God when you say the things you say. God knows you and me. Wars are religion based? Well if they are it is because man made them. Religion in this world most often than not is based on mans views and not God's mandates or decrees. If left alone man is capable of anything. God said in the last days there will be wars and rumors of wars. That has everything to do with the evil schemes of man. Wars are over money and land. God got plenty of that so why would he cause a war? He can take whatever he wants and do whatever he wants too. Can any one council God on what he chooses? Man speaks of a limited God, but God is a limitless God. He made the world and every thing in it is his. Psalm 50. He can cause a genocide of the human race with just a twinkling of and eye. We look to much at ourselves! God allows and man forces what ever he feels he needs to do. Man can do nothing unless it is given to him from above. Exodus 4. God made man and his mouth. God knows his people and he does not intend to pick up the peaces of a world that does not know him. So play your games. God says check mate.

hmm, I don't think people would have followed Moses then. Suggestions means that you have the option of accepting them or not. Commandments meant...no option...

Sometimes I wonder, society at Moses times must have been going through such rough time that God had to do it. Or Moses actually had to come up with a way to tame wild beasts like people. These 10 orders from God are the most basic element of a civil culture.

The problem is that most people take these as God's suggestions, they are Holy Commandments. The other problem is that most people have broken every commandment. Including the commandment of Thou Shalt not Murder. For if you have hated someone in your heart you are according to the word of God guilty of murder.

To answer your question no, the war's started with the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, where the teachings of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity differ. The New Testament is the book of hope and for all Christians it is the book of promise and salvation.

Most of the Ten commandments are worthless, the ones dealing with idolatry, taking the "lord's" name in vain, no other god before me, etc. Is this really the most important thing for all future generations? Would the world end if there is a sudden profusion of idols? Or if people don't stop saying "god-damn"? This is unhelpful as moral instruction. How about "Treat people kindly" or even just "Eat healthy food and exercise".

As long as there are religions, there are going to be "religious-based" wars. No religion is going to have something called "suggestions." The #1 goal of any religion is to tell you exactly how to run your life.

Which part of the commandments do you think suggest that we go to war?

The (tree) law was given by Moses.
(the surely die lie was given by Moses)
The ten laws were "added", because of it.
Another 613 were "added", because of it.
Perhaps to make it more obvious law sucks.
Law vs Law is as Loser vs Loser either way of OT or NT.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
