Calgary and Fort McMurray are both about the same.

The unemployment rate is about .3% However the cost of living is high (2bd apartment is approx $1200-$1400/month)

There are a LOT of jobs available if you can find a place to live.

Alberta has lots of jobs and no one to fill them. Edmonton, Calgary, Fort McMurray and Lloydminster are all booming because of the oil industry. The cost of living has skyrocketed, mainly housing and it's hard to find. Houses, just heard on the news the other day, are selling at 25% above there actual worth.
Fast food workers are making $10 or more/hour. Where my husband works (oil related) labourers start at $17.00/hr with no experience. They used to require a grade 12 education but now all you need is to be breathing ha, ha.
