Check out your local section of www.craigslist.com They have a section with stuff people are giving away (for free), and other sections with stuff people are selling. Good luck.

I also recommend Goodwill. Keep an eye out for sales and deals. We got a beautiful couch that sits 3 people for only $25! Also look through Freecycle in your community.

If you want free, you can't be too choosy about style and condition. Try typing in Freecycle and your area in the searchbar. This site lists items being given away.

Thrift stores, Goodwill, DAV etc.
If you're not proud, wait for large trash pick-up in your area. I've seen chairs, sofas, coffee tables, etc. We've thrown away many lamps ourselves. You will, of course, want to clean (and probably deoderize) anything you find.

if u r short on cash u can find good stuff at the salvation army or thrift stores

aren't we all. does life/world owe you things? if you are going to be on your own, you need to become a responsible person & work for your needs. who's gonna pay your bills etc? when they become due? will you get on Answers & ask for money to pay them?
