around Pagans and Wiccans then being with other Christians?
I have friends and family who are Pagans and Wiccans, even had one friend who said she was a witch, she told me that about a year after we met, we met at work. a year later I went on to a better job and we grew apart.
The question is, How many Christians really feel more relaxed around people not of their own faith?
not asking if you will change your beliefs,
I am a Christain.

tommyboy, your on a roll, that is what i mean. when you are around people that believe the same as you do, you run out of things to talk about, but when around people of different beliefs, you have plenty to talk about...in a friendly maner of course. As in other word, "spread the word through friendship" plant a seed and let God take it from there :)

I understand what you mean.
Sometimes I think Christians make other Christians more uneasy than people "of the world" do.
I'm not exactly sure why, but a lot of times I'm WAY more relaxed or comfortable around unbelievers than Christians. I think this is because Christians tend to judge others to see if they're "More spiritual" or less. Funny, the word CHRISTIAN means "Like Christ" so if you're a Christian, u shouldn't judge.
Jesus told us we should be in the world, not of the world. He never said "Don't be friends with the world" or "you're better than the world" (The use of "the world" refers to unbelievers). I think you're more relaxed around unbelievers because they hold less expectations of what you should be, or where your spiritual walk is. The fact that you're more relaxed around them is a great thing! Think of the opportunity you have to share Christ when a lot of Christians wouldn't even be able to confront them!
But, Jesus also said not to forsake the fellowship of believers. This is important too so that your faith remains strong. "As Iron sharpens Iron" it's so vital that we have someone we trust who's a believer to help keep us in check now and then (for me, this is my husband and pastor).
Hope I answered your question. :) God bless!

Why would anyone feel more relaxed around people that have a different belief system? Unless they are not truly convinced that their belief system is right!

That being said, Christians need to get out of their comfort zone and befriend non-Christians and bring truth to the many stereotypes that persist about Christianity in our society.

Spread the love, stop the hate!

Farmer, if you are a Christian, how do you not have enough personal experience to answer the question?

Because someone says they are believers doesn't mean they are. So when they get around family members, they feel more comfortable.

Christianity is a way of life not associated to a place. If you speak and act one way because you are in a certain building and with certain people, but that isn't you, you will feel more comfort being in the presents of people where you don't have to put on an act.

But just imagine for a second your proposition, you are standing in front of people who have to pay the full penalty for their sins because they have rejected the one you know and love with all your heart, mind, and body. The person you are relaxing next to has sin that is tormenting them in everything.

The question is: Do they really need to meet this Jesus whom you profess to love more than your own life?"

The question is: Do you feel comfortable around people who trash the one you love with all your heart, mind, and body?

If they really need to meet Jesus, "How is this a relaxing experience for you?" Or at least more relaxing that being in the presents of Jesus who gives you peace and who promises to be where 2 or more are gathered in his name.

If you had the cure for cancer and this person's body was riddled by the disease, how could you causally sit by checking off all the their organs as they become effected.....unless you really don't believe you have the cure or that your friend really doesn't need what you have?

Or maybe you need to become what your words profess in church. If you are secure in your relationship with Jesus, then you will have the answer to your question.

Edit: It would be helpful if those claiming to be Christians would learn to say what they mean. Is your question about, " How many Christians really feel more relaxed around people not of their own faith?" or has it changed to something else?
