This is to those who say "not a single one condemns terrorism" on the very question they answer doing that. Why are you so afraid when Muslims quote the verses stating that those killing others are wrong? Is it because you no longer feel special, and that in your mind the delusion of being a target is destroyed?

I'll say it again. I'm not going to kill you. My religion wouldn't allow it unless you were trying to kill me, and even then I am only allowed to do what is necessary to save my own hide. I'm not searching for you. I don't care what you do or how you live. You are not so special that I'm going to give up my own life, my own freedom, and my own family to do that. God means more than some deluded fool thinking I'm hunting him down. Even without God, that's just plain stupid.

Does it make you angry that most Muslims don't think you're so special that they will give up their lives for you? Does that "I'm so special I'm a target" bubble get popped? Yeah? Good.

I honestly believe I've never heard (or read) a Muslim condemn terrorism -- not an honest opinion, expressed in their own words. Quoting the Koran or one of several Hadiths is utterly meaningless to me. It only illustrates that the Muslim's opinion is not really their own. Reciting memorized propaganda is not equivalent to actually having your own opinion. Can you understand this important point? It may be that within Muslim culture it is considered a virtue to repeat the Prophet's words in response to every question. To my ears, it sounds as if you have no mind of your own.

On the other hand, after writing the above paragraph, I returned to your question and see that you've done exactly what I say Muslims never do -- namely, stated an honest opinion in your own words. I apologize. I was wrong, and in error. There was no Scripture in your question. My only rather lame excuse is to admit that, thanks to George Bush, I now tend to view all believers as irrational fundamentalists. It doesn't matter which faith, true believers cannot be trusted because they put their faith in an imaginary God before their allegience to their fellow human beings. They are traitors to the human race.

I have tried to answer your question honestly, in the interest of finding our common humanity. It is not my intention to insult or demean your faith -- only to reveal my true feelings. I am genuinely happy to hear that "most Muslims" don't think I'm worth killing, if it costs them their own lives. I hope you appreciate this is cold comfort when one is surrounded by Christians who are themselves eager to die, so they may enjoy the pleasure of watching people like me burn in Hell.

Maybe your "protests" are coming a little too late. Violent protests by Muslims happened immediately. 10s of thousands cheering for terrorists happened immediately. Condemning terrorism didn't happen until people started pointing it out. I think a bunch of Muslims are just trying to appease non-Muslims now. There have been THOUSANDS of chances to say this is wrong in a really loud voice and that hasn't happened. You might not want to kill anyone. That's great. But how do we know who does?

That is not the image portrayed in the media of all Muslims. In fact, you may have recently heard of a group we are fighting in the Middle East called Al-Qaeda. Their brand of Islam is a bit different from the one you espouse. For the most part, Americans in particular have had little exposure to the world of Islam. We do, perhaps unfortunately, form a lot of our initial opinions and biases from the media. That's a starting point anyway.

Having said that, you really do not see many Muslims denouncing what is happening in the Middle East, or what happened to us on 9-11 for that matter. Again, maybe the media is spinning things that way, but nonetheless, the fact remains you don't see it. Maybe out of fear, maybe out of an unwillingness to have to defend their religious beliefs, you don't see Imams or high ranking Mulim leaders speaking out against radical Islam.

Muslims and Islamists all over the world need to stand up against Muslim extremists, and show the world that the majority of Mulsims are not all bad people looking to kill in the name of Alah. Is it unfortunate that Muslims have to stand up and declare that they are not all bad people? Yes. It's not unlike how the Germans had to rebuild their good name after Hitler tried to exterminate the Jews.

It's sad that so many people will so strongly associate extremists with the group that they are very loosely connected with in some circumstances, yet not in others. There's been so much anti-Muslim rhetoric in here and all over, where people can't seem to separate Muslims from these terrorists who claim to be making attacks. There are extremists from many other groups, such as abortion clinic bombers who are Christian extremists, yet people seem to have a much easier time separating them from what the "main groups" they seem to have strayed from are. Why?

I'm not, i love anyone that stands up for what is right, maybe we should as Americans under God condemn war and killing other people, Jesus said to LOVE your enemy now isn't that such a good example to go ahead and kill him, we need to check ourselves out first, how is killing related to peace, it's like going to bed with a virgin to promote virginity? WHAT.

There is the peaceful Islam and Militant Islam.

The Militant Islam is what is the worst terrorism out there today.

Peaceful Islam quote the good verses to not kill others.

Militant Islam quote the bad verses to kill the unbeliever.

I have a Koran so know they are both in there. And the killing the unbeliever is open ended. Not for a given place & time. That is why there are so many Islamic Jihadists.

If you are a Muslim who condemns terrorism I praiser God that you are listening to your God given connscience. There are many Muslims out there just like you. But most of the time they would be afraid for their life to condemn Islamic terrorism.

Also, as a Christian, I have read the bible & know that the bible truth has set me free from much wrong thinking. I renew my mind in the Word of God (Holy Bible). So? When I read the Koran, there is certainly a different spiritual author behind it. And what is written in there doesn't set me free from anything. There is warnings of hell if you don't do things just so. It is salvation by works. And has stolen all the Grace & Truth Jesus brought us when He walked the earth, atoned for our sins & raised from the dead.

Great. Can you spread the word to the million that do want to kill? And, really, kill anyone - me, a Muslim who doesn't cover her head, a Muslim from a different part of town....

And, seriously, only idiots think all Muslims want to kill. But only idiots think violence is not a huge problem in the Islamic world. Sorry, but it just is. Like it, or lump it.

Thank you for saying that. Why is it we do not see any of the leaders of your religion saying this? This, to me, is what I want to see and hear. There are so few that do, that I believe that by their silence they are agreeing with those few who kill others.

I do believe that more muslims disagree with the bombers but either the news agencies don't report this or there are no leaders who disagree with the bombings.

Why in the world can you people not stop stereotyping everyone? "I" am threatened by non-terrorist muslims? That's simply ridiculous, incorrect and blatantly false. The only muslims that threaten me are the terrorist who have a tendency to kill other muslims just as much as they kill us in their bid to take as many lives as possible, no matter what the religion or ethnicity of the people they murder. They kill to rack up the numbers of the dead, the individuals they murder have no interest to them at all, therefore none of their targets are "special", just numbers. That is what makes them so frightening, their desire to murder innocent people to rack up numbers.

So the answer is that I don't know a single person who is in any way threatened by muslims, except the fanatical murdering terrorist fringe, so you "question" simply doesn't make any sense at all.
