In Australia today, i say the show - 20/20 on Pay TV. I must say, i was not suprised to see how the head of the churches spend their donations. All were millionaires & only donated 2% of the donations to charity. That is disgusting. They were quite happy to say that they look after themselves first. It makes me wonder, are Pastors & Priests REALLY religious or, are they only pretending to be a part of the whole "God" thing, purely for the money?

religion's god is $$$ MONEY $$$ and the abuse of the Money.
It's better to keep your money and give to who you want to give to. religious believers don't understand that you can't buy your way to Heaven.

I'm not saying 20/20 is wrong about a few, but very few. It takes a lot of money to preach on TV, but most of these became rich from their books and their investments. If you are a TV Evangelist your book sells first. If they are the devil in disguise, then they need to remember that the "judgment of God begins in the house of God and with His ministers." God holds ministers more responsible than the rest of us. And it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of Almighty God.

I would suggest that 20/20 take a look at other religions other than Christianity who are receiving tax free status.

It's further verification of what I've always believed: Religion is not about salvation, gods, or faith. It's about power, money, and control. I don't think any of the religious "leaders" (a loose term at best) believe in their gods any more than your average atheist, but religion is a great little vehicle for inducing guilt and squeezing pennies out of people who can't afford them. The amorphous threat of "hell" is a convenient device to keep people in line and make them behave as you think they should. Having that kind of power over people must be a real rush, otherwise how could we explain the number of bible-beating charlatans out there? It's pretty pathetic.

Sounds more like televangelists than real ministries. I don't think anyone with half a brain thinks for one minute that televangelists are anything more than con men using the name of God to get rich. It's really simple to pick them out, if they're living in a mansion and begging poor people for money at the same time, they are not doing God's work, they're in it for themselves.

The pastor at my church is very far from being a millionaire. He lives in a humble house, in need of repair, that the church provides. He earns little and his wife teaches kindergarten. They're struggling with one of their two children just finishing and the other one just entering college.

The above description applies to every pastor within driving distance of my house, with a small margin of difference. I think the 20/20 show was very irresponsible. I think it deals with a seriously tiny percentage of people in ministry.

this is why the public should be wary of anyone proffesing to be a leader of 'god' cause even crimminals get out and do this in order to make money. my suggestion is to go straight to god if u have a problem. by the way i love '20/20'.

I'm interested in knowing which "Churches" they are talking about. I do believe that there are corrupt clergy out there, but the VAST majority aren't.

If this show did an expose on child abuse in Australia and all of the people shown had beat their children to death, following your logic all Australians beat their children.

Not very logical, huh?

When it comes to Pharisees, like Saul of Saul-->Paul, they do eventually go on unto perfection: unto pure grace; So then it's "beware the leaven" (the law) of the Pharisees, not beware of the Pharisees. But when it comes to Dogs, like three top dogs: James, Peter, John, who turn to their own vomit: law, well then it's notably "beware of dogs", not just of their dogma.

As to many pastors and priests mentioned by you,
what part of the first and last "many" did you not get, of:
Many shall come... to DECEIVE... shall deceive Many.
Perhaps you skipped the TAKE HEED 101 Class?
Perhaps you missed the "believe [it] not": Mt 24:23,26.
Pst: children get tossed to<-->fro by law<-->law winds(spirits)
So the exhortation to children is: "be no more children": Eph4.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
