Recently I've heard my co-workers talking about Global Warming. At first I was just nodding along with the conversation not really knowing what the deal was. So I decided to get informed. I read the wikipedia article and I was appalled! Ever since that day I've been running my airconditioner 24/7 with the windows open throughout the house trying to help with the problem. I just wish that there was more that I could do. What all are you guys doing to help and what are other ways that I can help? The earth is very important to me and I want it to be around for my kids, and my kid'd kids! Why isn't our government doing more?

Along with running your air conditioners with the windows open, you also need to keep your refrigerator door wide open. This will help provide a little extra cool air to the environment.

Thanks for doing your part! ;)

Did you know one of my theory? It is about making a giant ball made in special plastic or metal that are full with special water that can freeze the liquid water etc inside this giant ball in a rapid way it must have a long spike like inside so it will freeze faster . And make a machine that freezes this giant ball, and this ball can roll out in the open or just around the city and when the cold is used up it will automatically roll back to the freezer machine and the new one that already frozen will automatically comes out?Just a theory?

Its really cool that you're trying to help, I am to...we're starting up a recycling project in our city...its really exciting. But if you're trying to help with reducing Global Warming, why are you leaving your aircon on 24/7 and windows open?? That isn't good, because you're using more electricity, which means more coal being burnt which results in more carbon dioxiode. So here are some REAL tips to help you stay green: Reduse, Reuse, Recycle..the three R's. Reduse - reduse the amount of electricity that you currently use in you home. for example: switch off all lights, when that particular room isn't in use, Unplug ur mobile phone charger when you're not using it, Buy only what you need, Buy products that can be reused,Buy all-purpose household cleaner, Buy products with little packaging, Reduce paper waste by cancelling unwanted mail etc. Reuse - Many items found around the home can be used for different purposes. So before you throw those items away, think about how they can be reused. Below are some suggestions of how to reuse those everyday bits and pieces. e.g: Carrier bags and twist ties, Envelopes, Newspaper, cardboard and bubble wrap, Jars and pots, Old clothes, Packaging, Scrap paper, Tyres, Used wood etc. Recycle - Recycling in and around the home can be easy when you know how. By thinking carefully about what products you buy at the supermarket and how to recycle them is the first step towards efficient recycling. e.g: Find ways of recycling different materials, Buy products that can be recycled, Buy products that have been made from recycled material, Avoiding buying hazardous material,Recycle bins, Recycling In The Garden (Composting, Grass cycling, Planting trees).

Another way to help G.W, is to use less hot water, traveling by bicycle; foot; carpool; subway;school bus; community car etc instead of driving by yourself everywhere. Move your thermostat down 2° in winter and up 2° in summer, Clean or replace filters on your furnace and air conditioner, Replace a regular incandescent light bulb with a compact fluorescent light bulb (cfl), Use a clothesline instead of a dryer whenever possible, Unplug electronics from the wall when you’re not using them, Only run your dishwasher when there’s a full load and use the energy-saving setting, Get a home energy audit , Switch to green power, Check your tires weekly to make sure they’re properly inflated, Try telecommuting from home, Fly less.

These are just a few ways to try and cut down on producing more carbon in the atmosphere. This is what YOU can do, the government isn't doing much (e.g: Kyoto Protocol), but if you tell your friends, and their friends, and you relatives and there relatives, and your kids friends, work mates... if you tell everyone..that could be all the difference. You just concentrate on minimising YOUR carbon footprints (carbon dioxide emmision), and you could help A LOT. Remember tell your friends, tell everyone.

If I didn't help...sorry

p.s: all you people are doing the wrong things, keeping your frigde door open releases CFS's into the atomosphere, which contributes, this also wastes electricity, which contributes to the damaging the earth. Leaving your air conditioning on in the car whlist you're in the house, doesn't make sense, here again you're wasting gas, which is a non-renewable feul. Please people don't just do what you hear people talking about, because you could be trying to help the earth, but you're actually contributing, to damaging it. So PLEASE research properly before you start doing things. Oh and use your common sense as well (like how can keeping the fridge door open "cool" the earth?? thats the funniest and stupidest thing i've ever heard). help mother earth... don't destroy her

1) Buy an old oil burning 4x4 truck and drive it every where in 4 wheel low
2) Keep your tires almost flat to decrease your mpg
3) If you have a V8 disconnect 4 plug wires to decrease your gas milage.
4) If you have a fireplace, pour used motor oil on your wood to make it smoke.
5) Build a fire pit in your back yard and burn used tires in it 24/7
6) Cut down trees for no good reason
