Is this ridiculous belief that God placed dinosaur bones under the earth as a test actually a widely held belief??

If not how do these nutters explain the existence of dinosaur bones?

Also, the belief in "Creationism". Do people actually believe this and how do they get around the proof of evolution?

I am a Christian and I do not know of anybody who says the dinosaurs are a test from God. I believe the dinosaurs were killed during the world wide flood in Noahs day, thats why a lot of their bones are found in high altittude places. As far as evolution I personally have seen no proof of any, technology is about the only thing that has changed since man started recording history, and that fulfills the Bible to a T. So where is this evolution.?

I am a Christian and I believe in dinosaurs...in some cases dinosaur fossils are actually found in the same strata as human fossils, implying that the earth didn't go through slow subtle changes but rather a huge catastrophic event. A book in the bible, Job, even states twice about Behemoths and Leviathans roaming the earth. "Proof of evolution"? Man you must of been raised by Scopes because last I heard it was a THEORY and not a law. We as humans could sit here for a million years and not grow wings...same for the monkeys...they wouldn't lose their tails. Yeah being a descendent of a fish is a lot better theory than being created and designed by a loving Father.
Don't belittle beliefs, especially when you are most likely wrong.

First on all, show me the proof of macro evolution. There is none. We have tons of evidence of micro evolution though.

There is a few different Christian following I will share.
1st is old earthers- God created the earth old (mature if you will) to test our faith? to supply what man needed when he needed it? I do not really believe this.

2nd is a literal 6day creation 8+ thousand years ago.
and there is 2 theories of thought here. The 1st is God created the earth 8+ thousand years ago including dinosaurs
and most were wiped out during the great flood. there are accounts of dinosaurs after the flood (baby dinosaurs carried on the Noah's Arc?) but never reproduced in sufficient numbers after the flood and eventually died out. 2nd is and this is what I tend to believe, is that God made the earth, it is millions of years old, but when satan was cast down from heaven that he created the pre humanoid man and the dinosaurs and they where his attempt at creation that failed. That God basically wiped the earth clean 8 thousand years ago and you have what the bible teaches.

Hope this helps

It relies upon what variety of Christian you're. Are you the type of Christian who takes each be conscious of the Bible actually and thinks that is an entire and inerrant historic account of the historic previous of the Earth and the Universe? nicely, then you ought to reject no longer in user-friendly terms dinosaurs (except you have self assurance that they walked alongside guy till they have been given wiped out interior the flood) yet incredibly each medical improve of the final 3 hundred years. Or are you the type of Christian who sees the Bible as a message of God's love which could be taken as a decision of writings by human beings attempting to appreciate and flow closer to God, and a e book that could help you be a extra perfect guy or woman in this international and the subsequent? while you are the former, nicely, God help you. while you are the latter, then perhaps you could tell your atheist acquaintances to offer up performing like idiots and doubtless learn rather approximately Christianity.

It takes more faith to believe in the so-called evolution than it does to believe in "Creationism". While never has a gene been evolved only destroyed the evidence of God's existence is in every breath we take. As for why the bones of these creatures exist I cannot answer but in the book of Job dinosaurs are coexisting with man, as is evidenced by the fossils that evolutionist choose to ignore.

Of course dinosaurs walked the earth. Just because the Bible separates the acts of creation into days doesn't mean they each took one of our days to happen. God took as long as he needed to on each step and that step was called a day. That is the name given to it. That's not a description of how long it took.

And Creationism and evolution need not be mutually exclusive. One can believe in both.

What is an idiotic christian? When it comes to religion and trying to put perspective into something that makes no sence- all this things come up from everywhere. I personally believe that dinosaurs and humans lived at the same time. ..i mean we dont have polar bears in florida- does that mean they dont exsist or we live in different regions? I just personally believe that dinosaurs and humans lived at the same time- then maybe the flod happened. and dinosaurs didint get to go on the arc. but thats again- my lil theory i play in my mind. Just do research.

First of all I am a Christian but I am not idiotic!! I do not believe that dinosaurs were a test from God, they actually existed. There is NO proof of evolution. I was created by God, so weren't you.

Sadly many people do believe that Dinosaur bones are either a test from God or they lived at the same time as people and all perished in the flood.

there's alot of christians in my family and i've NEVER heard that dionsaurs bones were a "test from god".
the idea of faith is that you don't need proof, that's why it's called FAITH.
maybe all the atheists in the world have a problem with religion because they only listen to the whack jobs talk about the crap that doesn't really matter.
