Rom 3:28 (KJV): "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."

Most of Christianity is not based on the words of Christ but the words of Bible authors.

There opinions are now equal to divine commands and the word of God.

That sounds very very spiritually dangerous.

This verse is not so much an "opinion" of Paul, but Paul was the one who penned it. The bible is penned from various authors and it is the heart and word of God. It was not Paul's opinion, it was the truth revealed to Paul from the Holy Spirit.
The verse is saying that you can not earn forgiveness or salvation by "doing good". We are justified (to be declared free from blame) by believing by faith (to believe by not physically seeing). The "law" keeps you in bondage, it means there are rules that you HAVE to do to earn the reward. Jesus set us free from the "law".

Upon curing a lady of a disease, Jesus stated:
"Your faith has made you well."
Benefits come due to faith.
Paul repeated this idea of Jesus:
"A man is declared righteous, not due to works of law, but only through faith toward Christ." Galations 2:16.
Of course one must define one's terms.
The word faith is greatly misunderstood.
It also should be said that Christians should show fine works, just not think those works will be the basis of their salvation.

Romans is attributed to Paul (Saul of Tarsus).

Jesus believed in the Torah of the Covenant, lived by its code of conduct and said that he did not come to destroy the Law.

Paul was the leader of a church that turned away from the Law of the Torah and created a mystery religion based on faith salvation and deification of a Jewish martyr to Rome.

His followers did away with nearly everything Jewish about Jesus, including his most Jewish teachings.

Try this; sit down at the end of a row of people, any row, anywhere. Whisper a simple sentence ( Have it written out in your pocket in advance!) to the person next to you and ask them to whisper it to the person next to them...and ask them to pass it on. You will be astonished at the message received by the last person in that row! If you hand the WRITTEN message down the line.... most will be able to read it.... however...each will interpret it according to their personal experience and education. Some will question it, some will deny it....some will be bored. Christianity is FAITH based...not word based. Good luck! Have a wonderful life!
Keep asking questions! Hugs, Gina C.

The Truth is spelled out by the Holy Catholic Church headed by His Holiness Pope Benedict the XVI.

Reading the Bible is dangerous, even a NJB. Questions about faith should be directed to your Priest.

I think Christ made it clear, Unless you are born again, you can not be saved. He spoke this to Nicodemus. You can not be born again, by deeds. that's it, the end.
