Pirate. As a matter of fact, you could give me the choice between pirate and anything else, and the answer would be "pirate". Except maybe Darth Vader. I'd have to think about that one...

A REAL pirate who lived on a ship with stinky men and spoiled food and had to kill people, no thanks. A dress-up, fun pirate, sure!

A Christian who is narrow minded and judges others, not so much. Someone who was able to live a loving life like Christ, sure!

Too many variables for a simple answer, sorry.

I read a book once called "Under the Black Flag", and some of them were pretty awful people.

Difficult to say since both would incur equal persecution. I would have to say Christian because such would incorporate the love I have for mankind and the fact that I already am.
