Actually Jesus is used as a name in the Spanish culture and they are Christain! I know this only bc the person who we rent from has this name. I am Muslim and your right we do not have the name Allah bc that is haram (forbidden). But we use all the names of the prophets!

Differant religions are just not alike. Some do things others do not. If they were all alike then we would not have differant religions. Anyway, I think personally that Hindus are pretty laid back in their religion. Its such a broad religion the incorporates all the other religions that no one can actually sit down and say ok this is what we are about, not even Hindus! I mean what other religion allows you to drink?

It is mentioned in vedic Scriptures that even if one takes the name of God unknowingly or unintentionally.. they still benefit.

Hence Hindu keep the name of God so that while calling each other they can take the name of God. One would be foolish to think that since he has Krishna name he has become equal to Krishna.
There are Traditional hindus who keep names like Ramadas
meaning Servant of Rama etc.

There are 99 beautiful names of Allah and many are common names in Muslims too. Rehman, Rahim, Gafoor etc..

There are names of God for Christian too. http://www.ldolphin.org/Names.html. Though Christians mainly keep names of Saintly persons and i am sure you will find these names also...

The main thing is Attitude. Attitude is not to become God, but to remember God.
